“Mellow Psychedelic Experimental Noize for What Might Ever Be left Ov Your Soul in These Modern Day Timez”

Formed during the mild Canadian winter of 2009, Ov Moi Omm is a sonic exploration of the mellow, psychedelic, and experimental. Originally conceived as a vehicle for discovery, the project delves into a vast spectrum of musical ideas influenced by diverse genres from around the world. Sound becomes an experiment—where chance and coincidence shape compositions, where landscapes morph into soundscapes and soundscapes into landscapes. Traditional structures dissolve, giving way to an immersive experience defined by layered "sound" collage. Ov (of; [uhv, ov; unstressed uh v or, esp. before consonants, uh] used to indicate apposition or identity)

Omm [ōm/ōm (noun - A mystic syllable, considered the most sacred mantra in Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. It appears at the beginning and end of most Sanskrit recitations, prayers, and texts) Om, or Aum (written with the generic Devanagari symbol ॐ; or spelled out in Devanagari as ओं oṃ [õː], औं auṃ [ə̃ũ], or ओ३म् om [õːm]; and occasionally written in the Tibetan form ༀ)]

Ov Moi Omm out on Om Pharaoh Records, Ov Moi Omm also serves as an umbrella for the musical explorations of affiliated projects, including Omniman (I/II), Irama Gema, 10 Echo, Polyphony Più, Ihsan & the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (ICDC), and Yellow Omm—a collaboration with Yellow Sunshine Microdot Happiness Band (YSMHB). Additionally, Pulse Burst and Julia Felix contribute to the ever-expanding Ov Moi Omm universe. These acts frequently appear alongside Ov Moi Omm, each adding their own dimension to the experience.

Impermanence is the profound truth that nothing in the physical or mental world lasts forever. Known as Anicca in Buddhism, Anitya in Hinduism, or as simply the law of change in Western philosophy.

The ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus captured the essence of impermanence perfectly with his famous statement: "You cannot step into the same river twice." By the time you take your second step, both you and the water have completely changed.

Everything from the solid rock beneath our feet to the stars in the night sky is moving along a timeline toward transformation. Stability is an illusion created by our minds.

Recognizing that bad times will pass, grief will soften, and difficult emotions are just temporary weather patterns in the mind.

Entropy: The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that the universe naturally moves from order to disorder. Buildings crumble, mountains erode, and cells age.

Quantum Flux: At the subatomic level, particles are constantly popping into existence and annihilating. Matter is never truly still; it is a dynamic dance of energy.

Deeply appreciate the beauty of a moment. Memento Mori, "Remember you must die". Don't waste it doing stupid things.
