Here are the rules I am setting for myself⬇️⬇️
None of these are complicated. none of them require a high income or a finance degree.
💰Pay yourself first: before bills, before groceries, before anything
💰Never lifestyle inflate: earn more, save more, spend the same
💰 Automate every single transfer: savings, investments, bills
💰Know your number: check your bank account every single day
💰Invest every week no matter what: same amount, same day, no excuses
💰Never carry a credit card balance: pay it in full every month
💰Keep your emergency fund in a high interest account: not chequing
💰Negotiate everything: bills, salary, rates, insurance, everything
💰Say no to things that don’t move you forward: financially and personally
💰Build at least one income stream outside your main job
💰Do a subscription audit every single month: cancel what you don’t use
💰Never buy anything over $100 without sleeping on it first
💰Max your TFSA before anything else: tax free growth is undefeated
💰Track every dollar: you cannot manage what you cannot see
💰Invest in skills that pay you back: the return compounds like money does
💰Buy assets not liabilities: things that grow in value not shrink
💰Never try to time the market: just keep buying consistently
💰Keep your fixed expenses as low as possible: rent, car, subscriptions
💰Learn something new about money every single week
💰Play the long game: wealth is built in decades not months
