Reading is like water; it permeates every aspect of our lives. It’s essential to start early and create fun, engaging ways to support a child’s literacy journey. 📖

This impactful program is cherished by the children, and parents often express how it has significantly enhanced their kids’ reading skills. We have witnessed tremendous improvements in our returning readers, with results that are astonishing.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteer youth helpers who assist our younger readers in kindergarten and grade 1.

We are grateful for our dedicated children’s book author and teacher, Lady Nadeige Altidor, who volunteers her time to lead the program. She understands the significance of early literacy firsthand and is a strong advocate for the joy of learning.

I had the privilege of participating for a second consecutive year in the Black History Month Read Aloud with OCSB. As always, it was a true honor and a delight to share my second children’s book and engage with the kids by answering their questions about both the book and my journey as an author.
