My post last night was a bit early. Mr. Butters' actual birthday is March 30th. Here is how I imagine his history before me went.
Little Walter Butterfield was born in all his magnificence to a single mother with tabby ancestry. Not much is known about his father. The most widely accepted information is that Mr. Butters is the son of a large orange Tomcat known to the locals as Tuffy.
His mother was especially concerned Walter would leave the house to join Tuffy's street gang, The Catnip Cartel. (the largest distributor of "the good stuff" in all of Peterborough County) She made the hard decision to allow Lakefield Animal Welfare Society to adopt him out for a better life, far away from street life.
