Cameras that detect more colors than our human eye.

Tel Aviv University scientists have managed to improve how cameras work. These improved cameras are able to recognize colors inaccessible to the human eye.

They are able to capture images of gases and substances such as hydrogen, carbon and sodium, each with a unique color in the infrared spectrum. Additionally, the cameras can "see" biological compounds that occur in nature but are otherwise "invisible" to the naked eye - as well as conventional cameras.

These findings and developments will see use in many areas - from computer games and photography, to fields such as security, medicine and astronomy.

Do you see yourselves using these revolutionary cameras? Could there be a potential use that changes the scientific field as a whole?
