Have a listen to my very interesting guest, Agust who lives in Iceland. He tells a very compelling story about his struggle with mental illness. He also battled cancer which led to the removal of his colon, and getting an ostomy; which saved his life in more ways than one.
Please listen to this episode to hear his story and let us know what you think.

My friend Walt Lawrence from G.F. Strong will be an upcoming guest on the pod. We had a great visit !

Did you know that today is National White Cane Awareness Day?

Today is White Cane Awareness Day! 👨‍🦯

Offering confidence, safety, and freedom, the white cane can unlock a world of possibilities for many people who are blind or partially sighted.

With many different styles, cane tips, and colours, the white cane is not only an important navigation tool, but a symbol that identifies, strengthens, and empowers the blind community.

Image Description: A photo of a young boy holding a white cane with a ball tip and wearing winter apparel. While the photo of the boy is in colour, with a soft yellow glow around him, the rest of the background appears in black and white. The text on the image reads: "White Cane Awareness Day".

Now before you poo poo this video, please have a listen so that you can learn all about Ostomy and this life changing surgery.
My friend Andrea Manson and I have a discussion about this topic. She is a retired Ostomy nurse, and she explains it all very well.
If you could listen to this episode, it would mean a lot to me, because this situation happened to me and you may know someone with an ostomy. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Our friend Marty Sobo has a new podcast, called: Code Orange on The Aftersight Network.

Code Orange is the disability-inclusive guide to emergency preparedness for the blind and low-vision community. Hosted by Marty Sobo, each episode turns fear into a plan: clear steps, practical checklists, and real-world stories from first responders, emergency managers, technologists, and blind advocates who’ve lived it. No hype—just what to do before, during, and after a crisis.
