I had the pleasure of working with Jaid on bringing Lotus Blossom Grooming to life. 🐾🤍

There are some projects where you get to build the whole visual story from the ground up, and Lotus Blossom was one of those.

From the logo and visual identity to the website and social media presence, I got to help shape the brand from the very beginning.

And getting to watch this brand grow from an idea into a real business has been so special.

Lotus Blossom is all about calm, gentle, personalized grooming, with Jaid offering both mobile grooming and in-salon appointments in Portage la Prairie. Her mobile grooming services reach clients from Winnipeg to Portage la Prairie, and her in-salon services are available by appointment inside Alpine K9 in Portage la Prairie.

Jaid’s approach is thoughtful and individual, creating a grooming experience where each dog is met with patience and care. 🐾

She wanted her brand to feel exactly like that: soft, welcoming, caring and unmistakably Lotus Blossom. 💜🩵🩷

From the first logo concept to the website, social content and everything in between, this one has been such a fun brand to build.

The seasons are starting to change, and you can feel it in the air.

The evenings are cooler. The heat isn’t quite as intense. The rain comes a little more often. Candles are being lit more frequently, and warm, spiced coffees are becoming the go-to.

Blankets are coming back to the deck for those cooler evenings. Books are finding their way into Sunday mornings. Walks with the dogs are getting longer, and no longer saved strictly for the evening.

And businesses are starting to prepare for the next season too.

Brand touch-ups. Fresh websites. Fall markets. New product launches. New ideas taking shape.

There’s something about this in-between season that feels like a quiet reset. A little slower, a little cozier, but full of anticipation for what’s next.

It’s probably my favourite time of year. 🍂

Branding and marketing are not the same thing.

And honestly, this is something I wish more business owners understood.

Your brand is the foundation. It’s how your business looks, feels, sounds, and is recognized. Your logo, colours, fonts, messaging, personality, and overall identity all work together to create your brand.

Marketing is how you use that brand to get in front of the right people.

It’s your content, social media, advertising, email campaigns, promotions, SEO, and the strategies you use to attract attention and turn that attention into customers.

Think of it this way:

Branding = who you are.
Marketing = how you get people to notice you.

You can have beautiful branding and still struggle to get customers if no one is seeing it.

And you can have great marketing, but if your branding is inconsistent or unclear, people may not remember you.

You need both, but they serve very different purposes.

Meet Summit. 🐾

I’ve met Summit a few times now, and he truly has a way of melting your heart. 🤍

He’s currently in foster care through PAWS and has joined Alpine K9 for some training. It’s so wonderful to see him getting the time, guidance and support he needs while he waits for his forever home.

🐾 Meet Summit: My Foster from PAWS 🐾

Summit may not have had the easiest start to life, but we’re so happy to give him the peaceful, regulated retirement he deserves. ❤️

Right now, we’re taking things at his pace; working on basic manners, regulation exercises, and gentle walks to help him regain strength and mobility.

He’s spunky, chatty when it’s time to eat, and just a little bit bossy. And honestly? That’s part of what makes Summit so special. 🥹

For his forever home, he’s looking for a pretty simple life:
✨ Short, gentle walks
🛋️ Lots of couch cuddles
🍪 Extra snacks
❤️ And a whole lot of patience and love

After everything life has asked of him, Summit deserves a soft place to land. And we’re going to help him get there. 🐾

There’s something a little magical about fall. The days can still feel warm, while the mornings and evenings bring that first little hint of what’s coming. Cooler air. Warm water. Steam rising into the evening.

It creates such a beautiful, fleeting kind of magic. The kind you have to pause long enough to notice. Early fall really does have a magic all its own. 🍂
