News from La Plata...

Green Theatre Sale

As some of you many have heard, The Friends For La Plata Preservation has decided to put the Green Theatre up for sale.

We have given this much thought and consideration, and it was not an easy decision. Due to the advancing age and health issues of many of our members, we can no longer give the building the attention it deserves. We feel it is now time to pass the stewardship of the Theatre on to new owners. Our mission from the beginning was to save the historic building, and that is what we did with the help of many, many generous people.
We have several reservations booked for the use of the Theatre in the coming months. These, of course, will be honored, and if the building does not sell, we will continue to take reservations in the future.
Our Realtor is Elizabeth Gregory, Gregory Land Group - exp Realty. If you or someone you know is interested in the Theatre, please reach out to Elizabeth.
The Friends For La Plata Preservation will continue as a 501c3 group, but will focus on the La Plata Historical Museum.
