🐑These are the inheritances which the children of Israel took in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar, Joshua (יְהוֹשֻׁעַ), and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed to them, by the lot of their inheritance, as Yahweh commanded by Moses, for the nine tribes, and for the half-tribe.

For Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half-tribe beyond the Jordan; but to the Levites he gave no inheritance among them. For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh (מְנַשֶּׁה) and Ephraim (אֶפְרָיִם). They gave no portion to the Levites in the land, except cities to dwell in, with their pasture lands for their livestock and for their property. (Joshua 14:1-4)

🔥NEW BLOGPOST: From above, the Camp of Israel (מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל) looked impressive. The Tabernacle stood in the middle, with the Levites surrounding it, and the 12 tribes spread out in four large groups on each side. The camp formed a massive cross-shaped design, which resembled the Hebrew letter tav (ת). Did you know the letter tav means “mark,” “seal,” or “sign"? As the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, tav also represents completion and being set apart for Yah.

Camp of Israel ( מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל) When the Israelites traveled through the wilderness, Yahweh gave them very specific instructions on how to set up their camp. At the very center stood the Tabernacle, God’s dwelling place among His people. Inside the Tabernacle were the Ark of ...

⛺️After the Israelites entered the Promised Land, Yahweh gave them instructions to set aside special places called Cities of Refuge (עָרֵי מִקְלָט). According to the Torah, if someone killed another person by accident, they could flee to a City of Refuge and find protection from the “avenger of blood” (Numbers 35:11-12).

Inside these cities, the person would stay until they received a fair trial. If the killing was not intentional, they could remain in the city safely until the death of the high priest, after which they were free to return home. There were 6 Cities of Refuge: three on the east side of the Jordan River and three on the west. The names of the cities included Kedesh, Shechem, Hebron, Bezer, Ramoth, and Golan.

⁉️Did You Know? The Tribe of Zebulun was named after Zebulun (זְבֻלוּן), the tenth son of Jacob and the sixth son of Leah. His name comes from a Hebrew root meaning “to dwell” or “to honor.” When Leah gave birth, she said: “Yahweh has given me a good gift. Now my husband will honor me, because I have borne him six sons” (Gen 30:20).

Zebulun was known for their fruitful land and connection to the sea, fulfilling Jacob’s blessing: “Zebulun shall dwell at the shore of the sea; he shall become a haven for ships...” (Gen 49:13).

🎯Throughout August, children at All Nations Fellowship in Yangoon have been studying the parables of Yeshua using our Parables of the Messiah Activity Book. They learned the value of sharing through the parable of the rich fool and the seriousness of judging others through the story of the Pharisee and the tax collector.

Thank you for your support, which makes it possible for us to continue equipping fellowships in countries like Myanmar to teach Yah’s Word to the next generation!

👑Did you know the name Zadok (צָדוֹק) means “righteous” in Hebrew? He was a loyal high priest who served during the reigns of King David and King Solomon. Zadok stood with David during Absalom’s rebellion and later opposed Adonijah’s attempt to take the throne, anointing Solomon at Gihon Spring to confirm Yah’s plan for Israel (1 Kings 1:39).

In Hebrew, Noah’s name is Noach (נֹחַ), meaning rest or comfort. He was a righteous man who “walked faithfully with Elohim” in a wicked world (Genesis 6:9). Yah chose Noach to build a Tevah (תֵּבָה) - an ark - to save his family and the animals from the great flood. When the waters began to recede, Noach first sent out a raven, then a dove, which later returned with an olive leaf as a sign of new life.

In Hebrew, Genesis is called B'reisheet (בְּרֵאשִׁית), meaning “in the beginning.” As the Bible’s very first word, it begins the story of creation: the earth, the first people, and Yah’s covenants with Noah, Abraham, and the generations that follow.

Genesis begins with the story of Creation, where God shapes the heavens, the earth, and every living thing in six days, then rests on the seventh. We meet Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, watch Noah build a massive ark, and see the people of the earth attempt to build the Tower of Babel. We follow faithful Abraham as he trusts Yahweh’s promises, watch Isaac bless his sons, and read about Joseph’s rise from the pit to the palace in the land of Egypt. Explore these stories in our resources, complete with ready-to-use lessons and fun activities - just print and go!
