I REFUSE TO BE AVERAGE!
There is something within me that refuses to settle for mediocrity—not because I believe I am better than anyone else, but because I know God did not create me without purpose.
The Bible says:
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” — Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatever God has placed in your hands—your career, business, ministry, family, education, leadership or gift—deserves your very best.
Refusing to be average is not about competing with others. It is about refusing to bury your gifts, waste your opportunities or live beneath your God-given potential.
It means showing up when nobody is applauding.
It means learning, improving and remaining consistent.
It means keeping your word, serving people wholeheartedly and doing the small things with excellence.
Colossians 3:23 reminds us: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
Excellence is worship. Diligence is stewardship. Consistency is evidence that you value what God has entrusted to you.
You may not be the most experienced person in the room. You may not have the biggest platform, the greatest resources or the loudest voice. But you can be faithful. You can be teachable. You can be dependable. And you can give your best.
Proverbs 22:29 says that a person skilled and diligent in their work will stand before kings.
So bring it home today: What is currently in your hands?
Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Use what you have. Start where you are. Honour God through the quality of your work—and refuse to offer the world a watered-down version of the greatness He placed inside you.
I was born with something in me that refuses to be average, and I am grateful for it!
If this speaks to you, declare: “I will serve God and humanity with excellence!”
