👣 The Broken Cup 👣
A six-year-old boy was carrying a glass of juice to the table when he accidentally dropped it.
It shattered across the floor.
He froze.
His heart raced.
Instead of crying because of the broken glass, he cried because he was afraid of what his parents would say.
His mom walked over, looked at the mess, and gently asked,
“Are you hurt?”
He shook his head.
She smiled, hugged him, and said,
“Then that’s what matters most. We can clean up the glass together.”
Years later, he couldn’t remember the broken cup.
But he never forgot that his home was a place where mistakes were met with love instead of fear.
As parents, our children may not always remember what they broke…
But they’ll always remember how we made them feel when they did.
💬 Let’s Talk:
* How did your parents react when you made mistakes as a child?
* Do you think children learn better through fear or understanding?
* What’s one parenting lesson you’re intentionally passing on to your children?
