Wishing my council friends and contacts good luck today! Try to remember that the cop budget won't solve poverty and homelessness. And, CSIR may not have done the job we hoped it would, but those funds are desperately needed by community organizations working hard to support residents in crisis. You got this! ❤️

I have this conversation all the time, when people ask me if we really need libraries, and if we really need a new downtown library (aka can't we just put a kiosk in the mall?). The answer is emphatically, "Yes!" In every major city that I am aware of, the public library is one of the top 2 most visited places in that city. Libraries connect. They inspire. Libraries are the missing link in so many ways and for so many people. IYKYK and you SHOULD know.

We will be counting down our top charts for 2024. First up is from the Ontario office. Visits to the Toronto Public Library surpass by far the attendance of the city’s major sports teams.

If and when city council (finally) declares a state of emergency around homelessness, this type initiative should be exactly the next step they empower city staff to take. Fingers crossed!

Now that the PIT data has been shared, I am pleased to see that City Council has committed to stepping up to address a situation that has gotten far, far out of hand.
Earlier this month, I wrote to my connections on council to ask that they put forward a motion to declare a state of emergency around homelessness (among other things) and today I am enormously glad to see that David and Shanon are working to do just that. We are better when we work together, Regina. ❤️

Over the past 5 months, I have written a love letter to my city. That's what this campaign is. I love Regina. I believe that this beautiful city has incredible people, incredible local businesses, and above all else, incredible potential.

Over the past 5 months, I have carefully detailed my vision for our city. I've shared my values and my hopes for a better Regina. That vision includes you, because I truly believe that success for our city is only possible if we work together toward the same vision of a vibrant, safe, and sustainable Regina.

November 13 is your opportunity to check a box and decide what your best future looks like. I hope you'll come out and make yourself heard! ☮❤✅
