No spending limits 🗳️

New Brunswick’s municipal election is coming up in May, and once again there are no rules around campaign spending or donor disclosure. Provincial and federal elections have limits. Municipal ones don’t.

The province says changes are coming…just not until 2030.

Does a gap like this matter in the 2026 municipal elections?

JDI has purchased the building and says there’s not much left to save. No imediate plans for development, they say it’ll be a green space for now.

ICYMI Beer Fest was a blast! 🍻

Is there a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon uptown? Not so sure…and the team at made it a helluva day!

We tried a ton of great beer, had a barrel of laughs and got to meet and reconnect with so many great people.

Congrats to for taking home the Best of the Fest! And of course, shout out to all of the other awesome local brewers that were lucky enough to have in our region and province.

Can’t wait til next year !

Santa’s New Route 🎅🏽

The SJ Santa Claus Parade route changed this year…but don’t worry, the jolly guy is still coming! He kicks off at the Cruise Ship Terminals, peddles over the Viaduct, and wraps up on Lansdowne.

This year’s theme is Animated Christmas, so expect lots of cartoon favourites…who remembers the For Better or For Worse holiday special??

🎉 3,000 Subscribers and Counting!

When I hit send on the very first SJ Today newsletter last October, it went out to three people (hi Mom). Today, less than a year later...we’ve hit 3,000 subscribers.

This little local daily newsletter has grown into something special, that I am really proud of, a daily habit for thousands of Saint Johners who love knowing what’s happening close to home. My goal has also been to bring a sense of connection and conversation into your inbox each morning.

This Thanksgiving, I just want to say thank you. For reading, sharing, sending in your pics, and believing in local media that celebrates our community.
