Do better cameras actually make your results worse? In many cases yes. Here’s why.
As technology advances and cameras cost less money and deliver better results, more and more people are able to enter to “pro-sumer” space at very little upfront cost. What this means is that you often end up hiring someone who can do a decent job without the experience for how to handle the situations that eventually arise in the professional space. Hiring based on portfolio alone leaves you vulnerable. Hiring based on experience, professionalism, pricing AND portfolio is a much better choice. Be careful out there. An Instagram bio doesn’t make your photographer a professional. Experience does.

This may be my hot take but if your wedding is around the corner, a videographer should be higher on your list than a venue. Yes I said it. A venue is an eventuality. You WILL find one. But a videographer? Many brides consider this optional, unneccessary, or just something they "never thought of".
