Our hens are breaking of their broodiness, which means a full basket came in yesterday!

I’m in the process of trying to determine exactly what breeds I want to place my focus on so that I can downsize the flock mixture. Slowly listing some hens available, decided to get away from the turkeys and list my breeding pair, and just start really zoning in on the breeds I want to keep based on body size, egg size and production, hardiness in the winter, and overall temperament.

Thus far, I’ve yet to make a solid decision, but I know I’m likely going to offload my cross breeds for this year and maintain all my purebreds currently before really zoning in on a set breed for next spring! I still want a colourful basket where I can :)

Tell me your child is a horse kid without telling me she’s a horse kid….

Cleaning out her toy box today & over 50% of the things coming out here horses 🤣 including fences, gates, barrels, tack, treats, waterers, and all the things LMFAO. You cannot see it, but this pile of tiny horses is about 8-10 inches deep and like 2ft front to back!

I think she has a problem.. 🫣😂
