How’s everyone’s summer going? Is it too hot? Not hot enough? Have you taken a lake break?

This pic was taken on my very first vacation. Cracker, mom and I went through the mountains , the scenery was really nice.

We were staying at a friend’s house and Cracker took off down the alley on a little walkabout and I didn’t know any better so I followed him and Mom didn’t like that.

Then the day that we leaving, Mom had just finished packing up the car and was saying goodbye to everybody and guess what Cracker did?

He snuck through the fence over to the neighbours place and found something really stinky and gross to roll around in.

Mom had to unpack the car and open up mine and Cracker’s bag and get out the shampoo and a towel and give him a bath.

Mom wasn’t very happy, neither was Cracker. But me? I was laughing my cute little bum off. Later, when we were in the backseat, I asked him if the bath was worth rolling in the stinky stuff and he smiled at me and said “Totally worth it.”

Hi everybody!

I know I haven’t been around for a few days, but it’s not really my fault. Now that Precious is gone, there’s not much going on around here.

The biggest excitement was Mom had some laundry drama. She said I could tell you guys about it because she’s sure there’s lots of you that can relate.

So, she threw a load of laundry into the washer the other day, and when she went to pull it out, she realized that apparently she had a Kleenex in one of her pockets, so there was white shredded Kleenex on all her laundry.

Now, Mom is cheap, so in the summertime she does not use the dryer. She uses the clothesline to dry her clothes and it’s been a little bit windy so she thought the wind would blow all the white Kleenex bits off her clothes.

Well, it did not do that. In fact, the wind made sure that those little bits of Kleenex got stuck to Mom‘s clothes and she had to scratch them off with her fingernail.

So there she was scratching her clothes and she looked down and found out that all these little white kleenex bits were now on the floor and on her bed. So, she had to go get the broom and dustpan and sweep up the Kleenex bits.

And all scratching it with a fingernail really did was loosen it so she had to go get the little rolling sticky thing and roll her clothes to get the bits off her clothes.

All of the scratching and rolling took about 15 minutes and she only had one article of clothing done. So, she decided to throw her clothes in the dryer anyway, and the dryer would take off all the little white bits.

Well, she went on about her day and of course she didn’t get the stuff out of the dryer before it got wrinkled. So then she got to iron her clothes.

So what have we learned here today? Well, Mom got a reminder on why it’s important to check your pockets before you throw stuff in the wash. And I got a reminder why it’s easier to walk around naked. Well, I’m not really naked. I have my collar and ID tags on, but you get what I’m saying.

OK everybody that’s the big drama around here. Mom says she’s gardening today so sure she’ll scratch something, or bruise something or find some other way to hurt herself while she does that. I’ll update you later.

SPIDER ALERT - Part Two

So here is the wasp all wrapped up in her web and she retreated away just to keep an eye on him, but he’s still alive.

Fun fact: did you know that not all of the threads in a spider’s web are sticky?

When spiders are making their webs, they can make the thread sticky or not sticky. And they use the not sticky threads to move around their web to avoid getting caught in it themselves.

Mother Nature thinks of everything.

Who knows? Maybe the advice you were given will be helpful to somebody else. Mom will put her best advice in the comments and I will too.

SPIDER ALERT!

If you are creeped out by spiders, you may not want to watch this. But she is killing a wasp, so don’t feel bad.

Nature is filled with wonderful things. And this is something that is rarely seen.

If you look closely, you’ll see her, biting into him and releasing her venom and towards the end is when she starts wrapping him in her web.

I find things like this absolutely amazing. Mother Nature thought of everything.

Well, Ruby and I have read all the comments on who’s everybody crush was and we have the results.

David Cassidy was a front runner with his brother Shaun coming up behind, taking second place.

Sam Elliott won in the seniors division hands-down. It wasn’t even a competition.

Honourable mention goes to Shemar Moore.

Overall, musicians were the hot commodity. There was no contest between musicians and actors. The musicians won, hands down. Sorry actors.

I think that was fun though what are you guys think?

Come back tomorrow because Mom already has something ready that we’re all gonna do.
