Over the past two weeks, this is the bin that has the students enthralled.

I'm going to start calling these the "never bored bins" because "I'm bored," is something we never hear.

How many days are left till summer holidays?

Not a lot!

The end of the year can be so stressful, overwhelming and tiring. Sigh.

But this year, we carefully planned out a timeline that kept us in check make sure we didn't burn out... and it helps that you have the best children (bias) and some of the best co-workers around (there are so many! Can't work with them all at once!).

Then there's Costco Wholesale Canada for the win with this Blue Jays tee! Totally making it feel like summer.

Not worrying about the mess if math games .. it's just better to find joy of in the kerfuffle because the students loved them all year... sigh again... a full heart sigh! (You can find these games on my Shopify. I made them.)

Don't stress about eating the cookie your retiring grade-level buddy bakes for ya... especially when you challenged her to do it!

Finally, when you find all kinds of little things poked here and there and you know it's that one child... smile the biggest because that child loves the things in your room so much and they feel safe enough, such a sense of belonging, that they can do those little things...which no doubt brings them joy. That's a piece of the class family feel.

And family is everything.
