On today, what would have been her 93rd birthday, i want to do something nice in her memory. I will have a surprise gift of her book to two people. All you have to do is comment and tell me if you liked this one or not or haven’t read it yet. You be the influencers. It's September and we at Seaweed (well really me Ida Linehan Young) are excited to introduce the spring 2027 release of our latest title, Eight-Minute Eggs - a short story collection. It is thematic to loss and grief of many types. Some are hard (boiled), some are hard with a sense of humour, and two are from debut authors, Holly Hedd and Genevieve Cluney Petten. They have amazing work to add to the collection and we are so happy they picked us to do it!!!! Serious talent.
Why Eight-Minute Eggs? Well, you can put an egg in a pot and by the time it has come to an eight-minute rolling boil, you'll have read one! You'll need to eat more than a dozen eggs of course, but eggs are good for you.
Why hard boiled? Well, you know me. I don't like to look away when I write anything.
So there you have it. Keep an eye out to here for pre-ordering and things which won't happen until the new year. BUT, we wanted to commit to the release in the spring.
Congrats again to Holly and Gen, thanks for allowing Seaweed Publishing to showcase your amazing writing.

I'm so happy to say that the NL Public Libraries will carry A Brother's Shadow. I'm told by some librarians, they have been notified the books are already on their way. YAY!!! I'm grateful to the libraries for their support as well as to the library goers for requesting a copy.
