Mom of three here — and yes, the age gap is real!

I’ve got two teenage boys striving for their independence, and a little girl soon to be in grade 2.

The irony? I was almost out of the tunnel but then ended up starting all over again!
It's definitely a whirlwind trying to keep up with the “almost grown-ups" and tend to the little one's needs...

😅Some days it’s exhausting.
🪄Some days it’s magical.
☯️ Most days, it’s a bit of both.

I’ve put together a simple list of the little things I do to stay grounded and reconnect with myself amidst the chaos.

Curious?
Drop a “KIDS” below, and I’ll share it with you. 💛

5 Unexpected Truths I Learned (the Hard Way) When I Took a Leap Into My Digital Business.

1️⃣ "Flexible" doesn’t mean "free-for-all." I thought working for myself would feel like a holiday — turns out, if you don’t give your day a bit of structure, it’ll walk all over you. Learn to manage your time!

2️⃣ You’ll feel like an imposter — even while doing a great job. My first posts regarding my business? I was so afraid and shy I went over them 50,000 times, convinced I was a fraud with a laptop. But I got noticed and also managed to get the attention of the people who mattered. When you feel uncomfortable that means you're growing.

3️⃣ You don’t need a big audience — you need real connection. Forget going viral. Honestly. The people who reach out, who resonate, who say, “Hey, that thing you said really hit me”? That’s who you’re doing this for. 12 people who care > 1,200 who scroll past.

4️⃣ The tech isn’t the enemy — your fear of it is. Nowadays tech is so easy to follow, the resources we have available to us make it so easy! It's fool proof no matter where you're coming from.

5️⃣ The people who don’t understand your dream aren’t meant to shape it. You’ll get the raised eyebrows. The “But what do you actually do?” And you’ll want to shrink. Don’t. Let your life get loud in the direction of what matters to you, not what makes sense to them. You're in charge of your own life! No one else!

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to start — messy, honest, and open to what comes next.

💛 Save this if it helps, or send it to someone who’s standing at the edge, just like I was.

“This moment feels like a quiet ‘I made it.’”

It didn’t happen in a big, sparkly way. 🎊🎉

It happened while I was on my feet, tired and bored out of my mind at my old retail job, waiting for customers to roll in.

I felt underappreciated and like an oddball.
I knew I didn’t belong, but for years I tried to fit in.

I was a mom to three kids, no longer a spring chicken, and without a university degree.

I often told myself that was why I wasn’t moving forward, that it meant I wasn’t capable of more, so I always settled for the easy option.

Going back to school felt impossible. Too much time. Too much money. Too much to juggle with the life I already had.

But that day, under the harsh store lights, I realised:

I wasn’t lacking.
I wasn’t less capable.

The only thing holding me back was the story I kept telling myself.

And just like that, I decided to stop waiting for permission to build something for myself.

To stop letting the fear of not being “qualified enough” keep me small.

It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t dramatic.

Just a quiet moment, standing there, realising I AM enough—and always have been.

That moment led to me creating a life that feels more spacious, aligned, and mine.

This isn’t just about business.
There’s so much more, and I’ve still only scratched the surface.

Exciting times ahead! 🤩

Have you ever had a moment like this too?

Have you ever been to Italy? If yes where? If not, is it on your list?
