You know how they say, “It’s not brain surgery”… well, this time it actually is. (And I’m so excited!) 🧠✨

As many of you know, I’ve been living with trigeminal neuralgia and managing it in all the ways for years. I’ve been waiting, hoping, and planning for Gamma Knife surgery, and this Monday, it’s finally happening!

Truly, I couldn’t be more excited.

It’s a simple day surgery, but I’ll be giving myself a full week of downtime. Heartheld will be a little quieter while I rest, and then I’ll be back, ready to dive into all the cozy, creative things we love to share here. 💛

If you have questions, send them my way, I’ll be doing a written Q&A this Friday afternoon and will share my answers right here. ✨

Sometimes the softest places we land are in the memories we carry. Little flashes of then that meet us in the now, reminding us of who we were, what we’ve held onto, and how far we’ve come.

At the start of the year, I set out on some big adventures, filled with hope and so much heart.

Looking back today, I’m so in love with the way they’ve been unfolding, slowly, steadily, beautifully.

September always carries that back-to-school hum,even when school looks more like kitchen tables, messy art projects, and stacks of library books than hallways and lockers.

There’s a nostalgia tucked in this season: sharpened pencils lined up in jars, new planners waiting to be filled, crisp fall mornings that whisper of fresh starts.

For some, it’s the excitement of first-day outfits and bus rides. For others, it’s the comfort of settling back into home rhythms.

However it looks, there’s a sweetness in the return—stories waiting to be opened, projects to begin, and routines to rediscover.

Maybe that’s the heart of September: not the place where we learn, but the feeling that we get to begin again,together.
