🕯 From the Guru’s Martyrdom to Punjab’s Deepest Wound

More than 400 years ago, Guru Arjan Dev Ji gave his life — not in war, but in calm defiance of injustice.
He sat on a burning hot plate. Boiling sand poured over him.
He didn’t resist.
He accepted it all — with divine grace and fearless faith.

His martyrdom became the foundation of Sikh resilience.

Centuries later, on the day that marks his Shaheedi, thousands of pilgrims gathered at Sri Harmandir Sahib to remember him.
But remembrance turned into tragedy.

Tanks stormed the holy site.
Gunfire shattered prayer.
The Akal Takht was destroyed.
Pilgrims — men, women, children — became victims.

The same sanctuary built by the Guru…
Was attacked as his followers bowed in his memory.

This was not just a military operation.
It was a blow to the soul of Punjab.
A wound that still bleeds — in silence, in songs, in prayers.

We remember the Guru who gave his life for truth.
And those who lost theirs while remembering him.

29/5 (29th of May) - The Day Heaven Gained A Soldier 🥀 🕊️

This day marks the death anniversary of a man who was a singer, rapper, writer, lyricist, composer, actor, & a voice for a generation - Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moosewala.

We may feel like someone was taken from us, but his words, his music, and his humanity continues to live in our hearts every single day. Sidhu was on his own, a revolution, a movement, a legend.

God took the body, but he remains.
Sidhu’s legacy is immortal, and the name will continue for generations. Justice will be served.

🇨🇦 BREAKING: Justin Trudeau revealed on Monday that he will step down as Prime Minister of Canada and leader of the Liberal Party once a new leader is selected.

The announcement, delivered from Rideau Hall in Ottawa, follows months of speculation and increasing political challenges for Trudeau’s government.

“I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister after the party selects its next leader through a robust .. process,” he said during a Monday press conference. “I cannot be the one to carry the liberal standard into the next election.”

Citing a paralyzed Parliament after an extended session for a minority government, Trudeau requested the prorogation of Parliament until March 24 and confirmed his intention to resign.

This decision comes in the wake of internal discord within the Liberal Party and the sudden resignation of Chrystia Freeland in December, which amplified calls for Trudeau to consider his leadership position.

With today being the birth date of Guru Gobind Singh Ji (The Tenth Sikh Guru) - I have a story, within my imagination that offers the characteristics of fatherhood, courage, bravery, willingness and love the Guru held within. The King of all Kings.
Understanding the will of God was approaching, and that the Gurus two sons would be bricked alive at such a tender age, l imagined a heartfelt sequence of events that would take place. With the Guru coming to terms with the two princes tates, and the thought that one day their tiny bodies would be crushed feeling the edges, heat and sharpness of so many bricks was just too much take in.

Without a word, question or challenge on God’s will, it was accepted. But what the Guru would ensure to do, is make sure that whenever any ‘brick road’ was stepped upon or crossed, those two little princes would NEVER step on them. The Guru would hold tightly and dearly his two sons ensuring all was done to prevent them feeling a brick too soon. The beauty of Fatherhood, the servant of God and the courage to carry on.

The Chaar Sahibzade—Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Baba Jujhar Singh Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji, and Baba Fateh Singh Ji—are names we’ve grown up hearing, yet the true depth of Their courage and devotion can sometimes fade amidst the noise of modern life.

The first and only Sikh to become Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, has passed away at the age of 92.

Manmohan Singh rescued India from financial collapse twice, created unprecedented economic growth, and brought a sense of diversity and inclusiveness.

Manmohan Singh was mentioned in former U.S. President Barack Obama’s book as described by BBC:

Mr Obama recalls that when he met Manmohan Singh, he had told him that he feared “rising anti-Muslim sentiment had strengthened the influence of Hindu nationalist BJP”, the main opposition party at the time.

Mr Singh had resisted calls to retaliate against Pakistan after gunmen attacked the financial capital Mumbai leaving 166 dead. But “this restraint had cost him politically,” Mr Obama writes.

“In uncertain times, Mr President, the call of religious and ethnic solidarity can be intoxicating. And it’s not so hard for politicians to exploit that, in India, or anywhere else”, Mr Singh had told him.
