✨ The Barbie Project: A Vision of Representation and Self-Love ✨
I’m not really into New Year’s resolutions, but I love a good vision board. As a visual creature, there’s something so powerful about creating a beautiful board and mapping out how to achieve those goals. Usually, I keep my dreams close to my chest, out of fear of failure. But this year, I’m stepping into something new.
I present to you: The Barbie Project.
Growing up, Barbies weren’t part of my world. With four girls in the family, it just wasn’t feasible for my parents to buy us dolls that would inevitably end up as “Weird Barbies”—hair chopped, colored, and completely wild. But honestly, I didn’t feel like Barbies were meant for me anyway.
They embodied a beauty standard I could never achieve: blonde, blue-eyed, tall, and Eurocentric. As a ’90s kid and a 2000s teen, I internalized those standards, believing that’s what beauty should look like. And while Barbie has evolved into something more inclusive nowadays—with dolls representing diverse careers, cultures, and abilities—it doesn’t erase how the brand shaped my early perceptions. And I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.
So, I want to rewrite the story.
The Barbie Project is a collaborative, creative endeavor to reimagine how YOU would look as a Barbie. Together, we’ll celebrate individuality, diversity, and the beauty of breaking molds.

Here’s how it works:
✨ Every 3 months, I’ll open sign-ups for the project. EVERYONE is welcome to participate!
✨ I’ll provide the set: The Barbie Box, full lighting, and a photoshoot.
✨ All you need to do is style yourself as the version of Barbie that represents YOU—bold, authentic, and beautiful.
The best part? Participating in the project is completely FREE. You’ll receive your photos, and with your permission, I’ll share them here to inspire others to join us!
Let’s create something magical, empowering, and unapologetically real.
💕Sign-ups open this week— so stay tuned! 💕
