According to reports, Indian cricket legend and former captain Rohit Sharma was honoured with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award, by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Rohit was among 65 distinguished personalities recognised during the second Civil Investiture Ceremony. The award comes in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian cricket and his remarkable achievements on the international stage.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest white-ball cricketers of all time, Rohit led Team India to memorable triumphs in the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy, further strengthening his legacy in the sport.
