🚀 The New Township of Schreiber Website is Live!

I'm incredibly proud to share that the new Township of Schreiber website is officially live.

This project was far more than a redesign.

One of the biggest challenges was taking thousands of pieces of municipal information—from bylaws and services to recreation, utilities, permits, council information, tourism, economic development, and emergency services—and building a logical architecture that makes sense to the people who actually use it.

Every menu, page, category, and navigation path was carefully planned to answer a simple question:

"If a resident, visitor, business owner, or investor needs information, where would they expect to find it?"

The goal wasn't just to create a beautiful website. It was to transform a large amount of complex information into something clear, accessible, user-friendly, and easy to navigate on any device.

From information architecture and content strategy to page design, content development, accessibility, and user experience, this has been one of the most challenging and rewarding projects I've undertaken through 9th House Media.

Thank you to Township staff, management, and Council for trusting me with such an important project.

🌙 Why 9th House Media?

A few people have asked where the name came from, so I thought I'd share the story behind it.

The inspiration comes from the astrological 9th House, which is associated with exploration, learning, communication, publishing, travel, philosophy, and expanding one's horizons. It's often described as the house of discovery—the pursuit of knowledge, new perspectives, and experiences that help us grow.

Those ideas have always resonated deeply with me.

I've always been curious. I love learning, creating, exploring new ideas, and helping others communicate theirs. Whether it's building a website, developing a communications strategy, creating content, or telling a story, I've always been drawn to work that helps people connect, understand, and grow.

The logo was designed to reflect those same themes.

The archway symbolizes a doorway to new opportunities, ideas, and possibilities—the moment we step beyond what we already know and into something new. The location marker represents direction, discovery, and finding your place in the world.

Together, the name and symbol tell a story of exploration, growth, creativity, communication, and the journeys that shape who we become.

Whether you follow astrology or simply appreciate the symbolism, the 9th House reminds us that growth begins with curiosity and that every new opportunity starts by taking a step through the door.

This is Ghost Pipe.

Unlike most plants, it doesn't grow the way others do. It doesn't rely on sunlight. It survives through a completely different path, adapting to conditions where many would assume nothing could thrive.

I've often felt a connection to that idea.

My career hasn't followed a traditional route. I don't have a collection of credentials that opened every door for me. Instead, I've built my experience through curiosity, hard work, continuous learning, and a willingness to say yes to opportunities that pushed me outside my comfort zone.

Over the years, I've built websites, managed municipal communications, supported economic development initiatives, led community projects, grown a photography business, and developed skills that were learned through doing rather than simply studying.

The lesson I've learned is that success doesn't require following the same path as everyone else.

Sometimes the most meaningful growth happens when you're willing to create your own way forward.
