Pro Tip: Check your background.

Your photo will need less work in post production if you can manually clean up the background to start. Try and find locations without a lot of noise in the background that will distract from your subject. Slow down, pan your camera around and think before you shoot.

Pro Tip: Composition
Placing interest points one third of the way into the shot (left, right, up or down) or a combination of two (top pic) is often the most dynamic way to compose your shot, rather than centred (bottom pic)

This ‘Rule of thirds’ is easiest to understand if you imagine 4 lines criss crossing your image and you place your focal point in one or two of the places where they intersect (pic 2). Follow us for more tips to fix your pics.

Tutorial: How to take a group shot with everyone in it

Step/Pic 1: Take a pic of everyone in the group but leave a space for the photographer, somewhere in the middle. Do not use a zoom.

Step/Pic2: Have a second photographer move into your exact location. Let them see the photo so they can match the frame. Take a second shot with the first photographer in it.

Step/Pic 3: Send us both pics. We will mash them together, sharpen them and send back a mantle worthy memory.
