Blessing Orji—popularly known as Bebe Jewelry—who sadly passed away during a business trip in China. May her soul rest in peace. 🙏As expected, the conversation has shifted to bringing her remains back home. But the figure being bandied about? ₦40 million!

Let’s pause and think with our heads, not just our emotions. Does it truly make sense to spend ₦40 million just to transport a body from Asia to Nigeria?

If you spend ₦40 million on cargo, foreign mortuary bills, and expensive hermetically sealed caskets, who suffers? The immediate family left behind who will now inherit heavy debts, loans, and financial suffocation.

What happens to the children, parents, or close family members she left behind? That money could set up a solid trust or business to sustain them, but instead, it goes to logistics. Wisdom is golden.

Word has it that cremation in China and bringing back her ashes was suggested as an alternative. Bebe was a hardworking businesswoman. If she was to be alive will she approve of it?
