“I Suppose” is Out Now!

This one’s special—it’s a joint release with Fighting Chance! because Joe’s on drums, and we used to play it live. But at its core, it’s always felt like a solo song—a turning point in my writing, more personal and reflective.

“My whole life is a patchwork of your world. My whole life is a country for you, girl.”

Ever felt like your memories of someone became bigger than the person themselves? That’s what this song is about—nostalgia, longing, and the stories we tell ourselves.

📢 2 Days Until I Suppose Drops! 📢

This one’s almost here! “I Suppose” is a song James wrote about being romantically delusional. We filmed the music video in Brazil, making this release a true mix of places, memories, and sounds.

It’s a joint release between James Flanagan and Fighting Chance!—a turning point in James’s songwriting toward a more soft rock/pop vibe with personal lyrics, all while keeping that signature Fighting Chance! beat.

🚨 New Music Coming Friday! 🚨

Our new song “I Suppose” is dropping this Friday! It’s a joint release between James Flanagan and Fighting Chance!—James wrote this song with a more personal story in mind, but Joes drumming gave it the sauce so we wanted to have it available in both the James solo and band catalogues. “I Suppose” always had a good Counting Crows vibe when we took it to the stage—laid-back, boppy, and full of corazón. ♥️

🎲 Happy Birthday to Brother Joe Flanagan! 🥊

Best brother ever Joe. He drums like rolling thunder and also lays down a wicked lead guitar as evidenced by his studio solos on “Lost” and “Godfrey.” He can’t be stopped! Can’t wait to be putting out a big dream song of his “I Suppose” out in two weeks where you can hear more of him. Here’s some photos of the brothers in Miami with our hats. Happy B-Day Broth!
