Thank you Newmarket for recognizing the LIL BIG KIDs Squad and their commitment to our community over the years. The founders are excited for the opportunity to inspire more kids to give back in 2024! They have donated the funds to the to use for their Community Kitchen and support their NEW ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ program. This will be a wonderful opportunity for teams and youth groups to work together to provide nutritious food to families in need and fill the !

On May 24th, 2023 at 6:30 pm, A Million Mouthfuls Catering and Neighbour Media are holding a community event - "Catering for a Cause".

It's going to be an evening of delicious food and good times, with all proceeds going to a great cause! The proceeds from this event will be donated to a local non-profit organization, that YOU can help choose.

13 Elf Boxes filled with beautifully kid-crafted cards delivered to Long Term Care Homes in York Region today!

This year we had many schools and classes participate in our mission to spread holiday cheer to Senior Citizens in our community.

Together our 2022 Elf Squad made a grand total 1568 cards!!! Many thanks to all who participated with us and helped us spread the kindness further ❤️🎄.

🚨CALLING ALL ELVES 🚨

It is that time of year again when our ELF SQUAD gets busy making cards for seniors in our community!! This is a easy way for anyone to get involved in giving back this holiday season. All you need is a paper and a crayon (or you can get fancy 😉) and it makes a HUGE impact on the residents in the centres we deliver to! We are welcoming classes to participate again as well ❤️... so tell all of your teacher friends!

Please bring your completed cards to our porch mailbox at 34 Harvest Hills Blvd by Sun Dec 11th. Or, we can pick up from you… just send us a DM!

Thank you .prestige.market for hosting an amazing family friendly event today at the Aurora Armoury, and to our who ran our booth!!

Project ‘Grandma’s Garden’ raised $566.50 for the selling tulips and paint-your-own-pot kits provided by .

I’d say that was another successful giveback project in the books, and put together in quite a hurry (3 days to be exact 🥵🤣), by these amazing kiddos!! What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday… for an amazing cause! 🌼

Today we did a little ‘test run’ for a new project in collaboration with the . We filmed our first episode where kids help kids make healthy foods. We can’t wait for our other LIL BIG KIDs to have a turn to film their own recipes too! Let us know if this is the project you would like to be a part of. It’s a wonderful way to connect with families in our community and empower kids to eat healthy and get creative in the kitchen, with the foods they are provided with, from the pantry.

We were honoured to be nominated by Dr. Atwal , then selected to receive an Ontario Junior Citizen Award for 2022, and THEN presented our awards today by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario! WOW.

It was a WONDERFUL day, but none of it would have ever happened if it hadn’t been for the support of our WONDERFUL friends, family & community.

Thank you to all the kids on the committee and squads, for helping us reach many people in need together! YOU are to reason we keep going, YOU inspire us to do more, and YOU earned this prestigious award WITH us.

Today was a GREAT DAY!!

Thank you to everyone who helped us with yet another MASSIVE donation to the . We were told that The Pantry’s clients have almost doubled since last year 😳 and that our donation was very much needed. Especially all those diapers… ‘they’re like gold’!! We are going to help so many families in our community. Way to go !

If you shared our posts, donated food, joined our delivery team, spread the word, went for that prize, cheered us on… we appreciate YOU! None of this is possible without your support. We have the best friends and family around.

This is the last week for our Food 4 Families Food Drive! If you haven’t donated yet, please consider arranging a donation pick up with us or dropping off non-perishables to our front porch.

Hey Kids! Want to give back to your community in a BIG way? We are challenging local teams, clubs and school classes to join us in our 2nd Annual Food 4 Families Food Drive for the !

Teams can be up to 20 people - sports teams, classes, families, neighbours and friends… anyone is welcome to make a team!

Donation bags are ready for pick up or delivery. Let us know how many you need! Once they are full, we will collect them or your team captain can join us on our delivery day. The team with the most points WINS a team pizza party at Air Riderz!

Help us feed our neighbours in need!

The LIL BIG KID SQUAD is working in partnership with and on our 2nd Annual Food Drive… and we need your help!!

Just like last year, we are welcoming non perishable food donations to our headquarters (34 Harvest Hills Blvd) from anyone who would like to participate!

In addition, we are challenging our community’s teams, clubs, classes, neighbourhoods, friends + families to work TOGETHER to donate. This can be a great opportunity for club team building initiatives. Work together and celebrate together!!

Use our Food Drive Scavenger Hunt (attached to donation bags) to tally your individual points or team points and win PASSES or a TEAM PIZZA PARTY . The individual and the team with the most points WINS! Team maximum is 20 people.

Individuals or Team Captains will arrange to have your food donation bags picked up or dropped off to you. Filled bags can be given back to us by April 30th or delivered with us to the Newmarket Food Pantry on May 1st.

If we work TOGETHER we can do BIG THINGS for our community!!!
