Baba Ijesha (Olanrewaju Omiyinka) has walked out of prison. He was released on Friday, Nov 14 2025 after the Court of Appeal overturned his 2022 conviction for sexually assaulting a minor. The appellate court ruled the evidence was insufficient, clearing him of all charges and ending his five‑year incarceration. Actor Yomi Fabiyi celebrated the news on Instagram, saying “You are now officially FREE AND OUT. Baba Ijesha is not just back but BETTER.”

Note: Earlier this year, fact‑checks confirmed he was still serving his sentence, so the recent court decision triggered the release.

Further development later.

Nyesom Wike FCT Minister finally opens up.

14/11/2025

What's in FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's Address?
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's address emphasized his commitment to upholding the law and maintaining order in Abuja. He stated, "As long as I remain FCT Minister, the law will take its course. Abuja must reflect the image of Nigeria, disciplined, planned, and lawful." Wike's comments came after a confrontation with a naval officer over a disputed plot of land in Abuja, where he reiterated that no one is above the law, including those with military or influential backgrounds.

Key Points from Wike's Address:

- Respect for the Law: Wike emphasized that the FCT Administration operates by law, not sentiment, and that everyone is equal before the law.
- No Impunity: He warned against allowing individuals to violate rules and regulations, stating that impunity begins when one person is allowed to break the law without consequences.
- Commitment to Order: Wike pledged to continue strict enforcement against illegal structures, land grabbing, and unauthorized developments in Abuja.
- Respect for the Military: He expressed respect for the Nigerian Armed Forces and clarified that his actions were not a confrontation with the military, but rather a commitment to upholding the law.

Wike also urged journalists to report accurately and responsibly, avoiding sensationalism and twisting facts. He emphasized that his duty is to uphold the Abuja master plan and ensure lawful land use.
