A healthy relationship won’t heal your wounds — but it will stop reopening them.
Healing is your responsibility. But your environment matters. You’re allowed to choose relationships that feel gentle on your nervous system. Someone who listens when you speak, respects your emotions, and doesn’t use your triggers as leverage — that’s worth holding space for. Love should support your growth, not interrupt it. The wrong people will convince you you’re “too sensitive.” The right person will lean in and ask, “How can I hold this better with you?” Don’t confuse trauma bonds for intensity. You deserve peace without having to earn it through emotional labor.
