The District of Clearwater in British Columbia in concert with SP Maloney Corp is currently recruiting for the position of:
Director of Operations & Infrastructure
Love where you live and the District of Clearwater offers that to the right qualified candidate. Reporting to the CAO and Council the Director of Operations and Infrastructure oversees the Public Works and Parks and Rec departments.

The successful and ideal candidate will have all/parts of these qualifications, experience and competencies.
• Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline. Technical diploma with supplemental experience and demonstrated continued education will be considered.
• Strong operational understanding of: a) Water treatment, sanitary sewer collection and treatment, and storm drainage systems. b) Roads, street lighting and Parks. c) Fleet, equipment and building management. d) Asset Mgmt.
• Work closely and manage the Public Works Foreman and Manager of Facilities & Parks.
• Monitor and submit all required reporting to the local Health Authority, Ministry of Environment, and others as required from time to time.
• Responsible for preparing operating and capital budgets for the water, wastewater, roads, drainage, fleet & equipment, cemetery, community parks, trails/pathways and facilities.
• Proficiency drafting long-term capital budgets and asset management planning.
• Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and ex*****on skills.
• Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
• Systems judgment decision making with both clarity and positive valuation.
• Proven ability to solve complex and unique problems.
• Must be able to anticipate deadlines and work towards achieving key deliverables.
• Display emotional intelligence when liaising with all stakeholders.
