I came back from a wonderful week at the cottage to a 4-figure deposit waiting for me.๐๐ผ
That part was delightful. ๐ It was also a little bittersweet.
Why? Because this deposit marks the end of an era.
For the past year and a half, one of the highlights of my day has been walking to the mailbox, sorting through the flyers and junk mail, and finding commission cheques tucked in amongst everything else. There was always a little moment of anticipation.
Not anymore.
We've now moved to direct deposit, which is definitely more practical, especially with Florida, Newfoundland, Vancouver, South Africa, and Portugal all on my travel plans. ๐บ๐ธ ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ฟ๐ฆ ๐ต๐น โ๏ธ
No more wondering if cheques are piling up while I'm away. ๐
But I will miss our physical cheques! These cheques I'm holding represent almost 6 figures in commission cheques received so far in 2026.๐ฑ
And every single one reminds me how much life can change.
A few years ago, I found myself out of work at 58, with no income coming in and not nearly enough saved for retirement. I knew I needed a different path, but I had no idea what it would look like.
Today, I'm building a business I love, working from wherever I happen to be, travelling more, spending time with family, and feeling excited about my future again.๐๐ผ

Believing it was possible.
Taking action.
Showing up consistently.
And refusing to quit when things didn't happen overnight or during the slow periods (and yes we all have slow periods....)
