My baby has received its first big cheque! 🥹💸

A huuuuuge thank you to , , and the Starter Company Plus Program for the support and investment into my business.

Liberty Leave®️ started in 2019 as a personal blog, but it’s evolving into something much bigger than that.

In 2019, I became exhausted from working non-stop since I was 15 years old. Being an overachiever finally caught up to me. Chasing the next big opportunity was my default, and being stuck in autopilot mode became detrimental to my health and my career trajectory.

I knew something needed to change, but I didn’t have the time or space to even consider my options because life was moving too quickly.

So, I decided to slow it down.

I took 6 months off from my job to rest, recharge, and reset. I spent the time solo travelling in Southeast Asia.

When I told people I was taking the time off, they assumed I was taking a a sick leave or a maternity leave (????). That’s when I’d reply with “nah, I’m taking a Liberty Leave”.

We can take purposeful pauses in our career that don’t necessarily revolve around being ill or caretaking.

When I shared that with other women, the follow-ups I’d receive were “You can do that?!” “Wait, HOW do you do that?!”

And that’s when Liberty Leave evolved from just a blog showcasing my journey to an educational platform teaching other burnt out women how to plan and take a career break, sabbatical, (or what I call a Liberty Leave) of their own without going broke.

This is only the beginning for Liberty Leave, and I’m so excited to share the cool things we have on the horizon starting with the launch of our signature self-paced course launching next month!

Salary/rate negotiation is a part of the hiring process. Hiring managers/recruiters often expect you to push back or ask for more.

Landlord life is not for the weak 😭

People love to talk about “easy passive income” but trust me… it’s not always as easy as it sounds.

Things can go left VERY QUICKLY.
Make sure you understand your local laws and agreements before deciding if landlord life is for you.
