Jesus Was A Teenager Too: Growing Like Jesus

The glory of young people is truly their strength, but what if that strength is grounded in wisdom and spiritual fortitude?

Luke 2:42 (NKJV) 42 And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.

Luke 2:52 (NKJV) 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

Vibrant Hope: Which Altar Is at Work

Saturday, 2025/08/02

What is an Altar?

An altar is a sacred place or structure where sacrifices, worship, or offerings are made to a deity. In the Bible, altars were built by people to honour God or, in evil cases, to worship false gods or perform witchcraft.
What is the Legitimacy of Altars?

Godly altars, such as those built by Abraham, Isaac, and Elijah, are legitimate as places of communion with God. Evil or demonic altars, like those constructed for Baal or Molech, are illegitimate and condemned by God. Today, altars can be spiritual, such as through heart commitment or a prayerful lifestyle, or physical, used in some churches or by occultists.

Types of Altars

Godly Altars (Righteous)
- Personal altars – a believer's private space for worship or prayer.
- Family altars – gatherings of family members for prayer and worship.
- National altars – when a nation dedicates itself to God.
- Church altars – consecrated areas within a church building.

Evil Altars (Demonic and Idolatrous)

- Witchcraft altars – utilized by occultists for spells and sacrifices.
- Idolatrous altars – dedicated to false gods such as Baal and Asherah.
- Ancestral altars – established by ancestors to honor spirits or deities.
- Blood altars – locations where blood sacrifices are performed to summon spirits.

Functions of Altars

Godly Altars
- A sacred place for worship and encountering God.
- A platform for sacrifices, offerings, and establishing covenants.
- A place dedicated to divine communication and intervention.

Evil Altars
- A site where evil covenants and curses are enacted.
- Used to summon or send demons against individuals.
- A foundation for generational problems and bo***ges.
- A source of spiritual monitoring and attacks.

How to Detect the Presence of an Evil Altar at Work

- Unexplainable and recurring problems within a family line.
- Covenantal patterns (e.g., premature death, poverty, barrenness).
- Dreams involving sacrifices, idols, or shrines
- Oppression or resistance to progress despite efforts
- Ancestral worship, family idols, or spiritual dedications
- Sudden hatred, rejection, or affliction without apparent cause

Scriptures on Altars

- Genesis 8:20 – “Then Noah built an altar to the Lord…”
- Genesis 12:7 – “The Lord appeared to Abram... So he built an altar…”
- 1 Kings 18:30 – Elijah repaired the altar of the Lord.

Against Evil Altars:

- Deuteronomy 7:5 – “Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones...”
- Judges 6:25-26 – God told Gideon to destroy his father’s Baal altar.
- 1 Kings 13:1-5 – A man of God prophesied the destruction of Jeroboam’s altar.
- Jeremiah 11:13 – Condemns the altars built for shameful idols.

Prayer Points Confronting Evil Altars

- Father, I destroy every evil altar working against my life in Jesus' name.
- Every ancestral altar claiming ownership of my destiny, catch fire now!
- Blood of Jesus, silence every voice speaking against me from any altar.
- I break every evil covenant made on my behalf at any altar, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, let every demonic priest fueling evil altars against me be exposed and judged.
- By the power in the name of Jesus, I command every monitoring altar to be scattered.
- I raise a new altar of righteousness, praise, and worship to God over my life and family.

A Saviour Who Is Looking For The Lost

Blog Link: https://kingdomgracedynamics.com/a-saviour-who-is-looking-for-the-lost/

C. Douglas Young says “Zacchaeus” means “righteous or the pure one.” However, he did not live up to his name. He worked for the Roman government to collect taxes from his people. The Jewish people did not like living under the bo***ge of Rome, and the tax collectors had a bad reputation.

*Vibrant Hope: Rich yet Poor, and Poor yet Rich*

Sunday, 2025/07/27

*Scriptures*

Luke 16:19–31 (The Rich Man and Lazarus) “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores..."

Proverbs 22:2 “Rich and poor have this in common: The Lord is the Maker of them all.”

James 2:5–7 “Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith...?”

Proverbs 14:31 “Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”

Proverbs 28:6 “Better the poor whose walk is blameless than the rich whose ways are perverse.”

*Observation*

Luke 16:19–31 - This parable highlights the contrast between a self-indulgent rich man and a suffering poor man (Lazarus). In life, the rich man enjoyed luxury without compassion, while Lazarus suffered. But in death, their roles reversed—Lazarus was comforted in heaven; the rich man was tormented.

Proverbs and James - These verses stress that God views both the rich and poor as equal in creation, but He prefers the humble, especially those who suffer in faith. Wealth without righteousness is empty before God.

*Who is the Rich Man According to the Bible?*

The rich man symbolizes those who possess earthly wealth but lack spiritual wisdom or compassion. Such individuals are often characterized by self-sufficiency, pride, and a reliance on material possessions rather than on God.

See also: Revelation 3:17, where the church says, “I am rich... but you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.”

*What is the Character of the Rich Man (in Luke 16)?*

• Self-centred: Lived in luxury but ignored Lazarus's suffering.
• Spiritually blind: Failed to recognize his spiritual need.
• Unrepentant: Even in torment, he didn’t ask for forgiveness—only relief.
• Lacked compassion: He never helped Lazarus, despite him lying at his gate.

*Who is the Poor Man in these Verses?*

Lazarus symbolizes the faithful yet suffering believer. He was impoverished physically, but wealthy in faith. The poor in the Bible are often closer to God because they trust in Him more fully.

*What are the Characteristics of the Poor Man (Lazarus)?*

• Patient in suffering: He never cursed or complained, despite his condition.
• Faithful: His name, “Lazarus” means “God has helped.”
• Spiritual riches: Though materially poor, he was spiritually rich and joined Abraham (a symbol of eternal rest with God).

*How Does God View Both the Rich and the Poor?*

1 Samuel 16:7: “The Lord does not look at the things people look at... the Lord looks at the heart.”

God looks at the heart, not possessions: God judges fairly. The rich man was judged not because he was wealthy, but because he was selfish and unrepentant. The poor man was honoured not because he was poor, but because he was faithful and humble. God values justice and mercy more than wealth.

Micah 6:8: “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

*Summary Lesson*

• Wealth without compassion results in spiritual poverty.
• Poverty with faith brings eternal riches.
• God does not condemn wealth but assesses how it is used.

Vibrant Hope: These Are My Enemies

Thursday, 2025/07/24

Who is Considered an Enemy?

An enemy is a person, spirit, or force that actively opposes you—your peace, progress, or purpose. In a biblical context, enemies can be:
• Physical (people: Psalm 3:1)
• Spiritual (Satan and demonic powers: Ephesians 6:12)
• Internal (fleshly desires: Romans 7:23)

What does an Enemy Mean?
An enemy is someone or something that aims to hurt, oppose, or destroy you—whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

Hebrew word: ‘oyeb’ – foe, adversary
Greek word: echthros – hostile, hater

What is the Enemy's Mission?

Enemy's mission: to steal, kill, and destroy your destiny (John 10:10), and to frustrate, oppose, or deceive you (Nehemiah 4:8).

The enemy's aim is to block your success, separate you from God, and bring shame or failure.

Characteristics of an Enemy

• Deceptive – pretends to be friendly (Psalm 55:21)
• Envious and jealous – resents your progress (Genesis 37:4)
• Persistent – doesn’t give up easily (Luke 22:31)
• Secretive – works in the dark (Matthew 13:25)
• Divisive – causes confusion or spreads gossip (Proverbs 6:19)

Scriptures about Enemies

Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…”

Matthew 5:44 “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Psalm 91:7-8 “A thousand may fall at your side... only with your eyes will you see the reward of the wicked.”

Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy...”

Romans 12:2 “If your enemy is hungry, feed him...”

Observation

• Psalm 23:5: God displays His favour and provision even when enemies are nearby. He lifts you up in their presence.
• Matthew 5:44: Jesus teaches love as a weapon—praying for enemies disarms spiritual warfare and affirms you belong to God.
• Psalm 91:7-8: God safeguards you while He judges your enemies.
• Luke 10:19: Believers possess divine authority to defeat spiritual enemies—nothing will harm them.
• Romans 12:20: Showing kindness to enemies can lead to their repentance or shame—it entrusts the situation into God’s hands.
