Holy Spirit, help us to seek and serve the Lord wholeheartedly, faithfully, and obediently in our daily lives. That is our earnest desire—just delighting in You. *Vibrant Hope: My True Friend Is Always There For Me*

True friends are there during difficult times. True friendship is not only about being together in good moments — it is proven in challenging times. A genuine friend supports, comforts, prays, and stands by you when life gets tough. They demonstrate loyalty, love, and understanding, just as Christ shows us.

*Scriptures*

Here are some important Bible verses that highlight the qualities of a true friend:

Proverbs 17:17 (KJV)“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”
- True friends love consistently — not only in good times but also during hardships.

Proverbs 18:24 (KJV) “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”
- A true friend remains closer than family — loyal and reliable.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (KJV)“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow...”
- True friends support and uplift one another when someone falls.

John 15:13 (KJV) “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
- Jesus provides the ultimate example of friendship, sacrifice and love.

Job 2:11 “Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place...”
- True friends are there to comfort and support during times of suffering.

*Examples of People with Genuine Friends in the Bible*

- David and Jonathan (1 Samuel 18:1–4; 20:17) - Their friendship was founded on love, loyalty, and faithfulness. Jonathan risked his life to protect David from King Saul.
- Ruth and Naomi (Ruth 1:16–17) - Ruth refused to abandon Naomi, saying, “Where you go, I will go.” Her friendship was rooted in love and devotion.
- Jesus and His Disciples (John 15:12-15) - Jesus called His disciples friends, not servants, and gave His life for them.
- Paul and Timothy (Philippians 2:19–22) - Paul trusted Timothy deeply and referred to him as a true son in the faith, demonstrating friendship built on shared purpose and faith.

*Vibrant Hope: Small Acts of Kindness Can Change Everything*

Monday, 2025/10/06

A minor act of kindness that makes a big difference. Sometimes, a simple gesture can entirely change a person's life, circumstances, or even history. Examples from life and Scripture include offering encouragement to inspire hope, sharing food with someone in need, forgiving those who have wronged you, and assisting strangers without expecting anything back. In God’s view, no act of kindness is too insignificant, as He can use it to cause profound change (Galatians 6:9).

*Scriptures*

John 6:9–13 “There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?” And Jesus multiplied them to feed five thousand.)

Gesture: A young boy gave his small lunch.
Outcome: Jesus used it to perform a great miracle that fed a multitude of thousands.

1 Kings 17:8–16
The widow of Zarephath gave Elijah her last meal, and the jar of flour and oil never ran out.

Gesture: Sharing her final portion of food.
Outcome: God sustained her and her household throughout the famine.

Ruth 2:8–12
Boaz demonstrated kindness to Ruth by allowing her to glean from his field and offering protection.

Gesture: Allowing Ruth to collect leftover grains.
Outcome: Ruth later became the great-grandmother of King David — part of Jesus’ lineage.

Luke 10:33–37 (The Good Samaritan)

A Samaritan assisted a wounded man who was ignored by others.

Gesture: He paused, tended to, and paid for the man’s healing. Outcome: His compassion became a model of Christian love and mercy.

Acts 9:26–27

Barnabas took Saul (Paul) and introduced him to the apostles while others were afraid of him.

Gesture: Standing up for someone others rejected.
Outcome: Paul became one of the greatest apostles of all time.

*Observation*

Each of these scriptures demonstrates that:

• Kindness multiplies: God can take small acts and turn them into great miracles (John 6:9).
• Kindness attracts divine favour: The widow’s generosity opened the door for provision (1 Kings 17).
• Kindness connects destinies: Ruth’s and Boaz’s actions changed their lineage forever.
• Kindness reflects God’s heart: The Good Samaritan showed what true love means — compassion without boundaries.
• Kindness can restore and empower others: Barnabas’ trust in Paul helped shape the spread of the gospel.
• God often uses ordinary people performing small, loving deeds to produce extraordinary outcomes.

*Related Scriptures*

Galatians 6:9–10 – “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Matthew 25:40 – “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Proverbs 19:17 – “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.”

Hebrews 13:2 – “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”

Ephesians 4:32 – “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you

* Vibrant Hope: Be a Helper and Caregiver*

Saturday, 2025/10/04

*Scripture*

Luke 10:30–37 (KJV) 30. And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. 33. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34. And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.36. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37. And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

*Observation*

The man attacked by robbers symbolizes humanity—vulnerable and wounded by sin, problems, or life's challenges. The priest and Levite represent religious individuals who should help but neglect their responsibilities. They symbolize those who have religion but lack compassion. The Samaritan stands for true love and mercy. In Jewish culture, Samaritans were despised, yet Jesus used him to demonstrate that love transcends race, religion, or social status. The oil and wine are symbols of healing and restoration (oil = anointing, wine = cleansing). The inn signifies a place of refuge or the church where care continues. Two pence represents a sacrifice of resources, showing that true love costs something. “Go and do thou likewise”—Jesus calls us to show mercy, love, and practical help to others, not just words.

*Responses from People Who Encountered Him on the Road*

- The Priest – Saw him but passed by. (Religious position without love). Sometimes prays or closes with those who have money.
- The Levite – Looked at him but also passed by. (Knowledge of God’s law but no action).
- The Samaritan – Saw him, had compassion, went to him, bound his wounds, carried him, and paid for his care. (True neighbourly love).

*Related Scriptures*

Matthew 25:35–36 – “For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink… I was sick, and ye visited me…”

1 John 3:17 – “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?”

James 2:14–17 – Faith without works is dead; true faith helps those in need.

Galatians 6:2 – “Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Micah 6:8 – “What doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

*Prayer Points*

- Lord, give me a heart full of compassion to see and respond to the needs of others.
- Father, deliver me from selfishness and religious hypocrisy—help me to be a genuine neighbour.
- Lord, open my eyes to opportunities to show love and mercy every day.
- Father, make me a channel of healing, restoration, and encouragement to those who are wounded.
- Lord, let my love be expressed not only in words but also in actions and truth.
- Holy Spirit, guide me to walk in the footsteps of Christ, demonstrating mercy wherever I go.
- Lord, help the church to be a refuge and healing place for humans.

*Vibrant Hope: The Tenth Month*

Wednesday, 2025/10/01

*Scriptures of the Tenth Month*

Zechariah 8:19 – “Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.”

Ezra 10:9 – “Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month… and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.” (Although it mentions the ninth month here, the events continued into the tenth month where Ezra took decisive action – see verse 16–17.)

Esther 2:16 – “So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.”

Jeremiah 52:4 – “And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.”

*Meaning of the Verses*

Zechariah 8:19 – The fast of the tenth month was originally a time of mourning for the siege of Jerusalem (Jer. 52:4), but God promised to turn it into a season of joy, gladness, and feasting. Spiritually, it signifies a transformation from sorrow to rejoicing.

Esther 2:16 – Esther was crowned queen in the tenth month, showing divine elevation and favour. The tenth month represents a season of new positions, breakthroughs, and divine selection.

Jeremiah 52:4 – The tenth month also marked the beginning of Jerusalem’s siege. This reveals that the tenth month can represent both battle and testing, but also the opportunity to trust God for deliverance.

So, the tenth month spiritually signifies:
- A time of transition (from mourning to joy).
- A time of divine favour and positioning (Esther’s elevation).
- A time of spiritual warfare and vigilance (Jerusalem’s siege).

*Prayer Points on the Scriptures*

- Lord, transform every past sorrow and mourning in my life into joy and gladness during this tenth month (Zechariah 8:19).
- Father, just as Esther found favour in the tenth month, let me experience divine favour and elevation in this season (Esther 2:16).
- Every siege the enemy has against my life and destiny, be broken in the name of Jesus (Jeremiah 52:4).
- Lord, make this tenth month my season of new beginnings, breakthroughs, and open doors.
- Father, fill my life with truth, peace, and joy according to your Word (Zechariah 8:19).

*Vibrant Hope: Boldness Brings Results*

Tuesday, 2025/09/23

*Scriptures on Boldness*

Proverbs 28:1 – “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”

Acts 4:13 – The disciples spoke with boldness because they had been with Jesus.

Acts 4:29 – “Lord… grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word.”

Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace…”

2 Corinthians 3:12 – “Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech.”

*What is Boldness?*

Boldness is courage, confidence, and firmness in speech, actions, and decisions without fear or intimidation.

Spiritually, boldness is the fearless confidence that arises from faith in God and the assurance of His presence.

It is not arrogance, but a spirit-inspired courage to do what is right, even when faced with opposition.

*Types of Boldness*

1. Spiritual Boldness – the courage to stand firm in faith, preach the gospel, and live righteously (Acts 4:31).

3. Social Boldness – confidence to interact, lead, and influence without timidity.
4. Intellectual Boldness – confidence in expressing ideas and convictions without fear of criticism.

*Righteous Boldness versus Carnal Boldness*

Righteous boldness is founded on God’s Word and Spirit. Carnal boldness is prideful, reckless, and self-centred.

*Characteristics of a Bold Person*

• Courageous – not easily intimidated.
• Fearless in truth – speaks the truth in love without compromise.
• Confident – trusts in God and not in oneself.
• Decisive – quick to take action when needed.
• Resilient – not discouraged by opposition.
• Influential – inspires others to stand firm.
• Calm under pressure – boldness brings inner peace in times of crisis.

*The Advantages of Boldness*

• Confidence in God’s presence – Boldness repels fear (Hebrews 13:6).
• Effective witness – Enhances evangelism to be more powerful and convincing (Acts 4:31).
• Access to God’s throne – Boldness enables us to pray confidently and receive mercy (Hebrews 4:16).
• Victory over fear and intimidation – Helps us overcome the devil’s tactics (2 Timothy 1:7).
• Leadership and influence – Bold individuals inspire others to act bravely.
• Peace of mind – The righteous live without guilt or fear (Proverbs 28:1).
• Breakthroughs in life – Boldness encourages us to take essential steps of faith.

*Vibrant Hope: Do Not Be Discouraged; You Will Overcome*

Monday, 2025/09/22

Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

- God's presence provides courage, even during the most fearful times.

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

- Courage is not just a choice; it's a command supported by God's unfailing presence.

Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

- In crucial situations, God Himself strengthens and upholds His children.

Psalm 27:1 "The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?"

- Courage flows from knowing that God is our defence and stronghold.

2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

- True courage originates from God's Spirit working within us.

Psalm 31:24 "Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord."

- Hope in God gives strength in critical situations.

John 16:33 "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

- Jesus assures us of victory, providing courage even during trials.

*Summary*

These verses remind us that courage is not about self-confidence but about God-confidence. In critical situations, His presence, strength, and promises to empower us to overcome fear and face challenges boldly.

*YOU ARE SPECIAL* .

_But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;_ (1 Peter 2:9)

*Real-life situation.*

My late grandmother used to *cook beans*, but before she cooked the beans, she picked out the *bad* and *useless beans* and *threw* them away in the *backyard*, and then she *cooked* the *good beans.*

*A miracle happens*

Then, rain comes. When it RAINED, the life of a seed in the BAD BEANS became active. The bad and useless bean seeds sprouted and GREW UP. The plant LOOKED good and BEAUTIFUL.

*A miracle changes mind and heart.*

The same person (my late grandmother) who THREW the seeds away as bad and useless, starts to HARVEST them. She realizes that the BEANS she THREW AWAY had VALUE.

*Take Away From This Analogy.*

Don't cry when people throw you into the backyard, don't cry when people reject you, and don't be discouraged while they look down on you. The rain is coming, and the same people who reject you today will beg to harvest you tomorrow.

Therefore, remember that whichever basket people place you in, or carry you with, know that *YOU ARE SPECIAL.*

Vibrant Hope: The One You Choose

Friday, 2025/09/12

Judas was one of the twelve chosen.

Luke 6:13,16 – “And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles… And Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.”

Jesus personally selected Judas to be among His closest followers. He was not an outsider but a member of the inner circle.

Judas shared in ministry with Jesus.

Matthew 10:1, 4 – Jesus gave the twelve (including Judas) “power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.”

Judas preached, healed, and performed miracles just like the other apostles.

Judas was entrusted with responsibility.

John 12:6 – “This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.”

Judas was the group's treasurer, responsible for the money bag. This demonstrates Jesus trusted him with practical duties.

Jesus loved Judas, but Judas betrayed Him.

John 13:21, 26–27 – At the Last Supper, Jesus identified Judas as the betrayer, giving him a dipped piece of bread (a gesture of friendship and honour). Then “Satan entered into him.”

Despite Jesus’ love, Judas exposed himself to the enemy.

Judas fulfilled prophecy.

Psalm 41:9 – “Ye mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.”

John 17:12 – Jesus calls Judas “the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.”

Judas’ betrayal was preordained in Scripture, not accidental.

The ultimate fate of Judas.

Matthew 27:3-5 – Judas regretted his action, returned the money, and hanged himself.

Acts 1:16–20 – Peter explained Judas’ fall was a fulfillment of prophecy, and another (Matthias) was chosen to replace him.

Summary of their Relationship

• Disciple & Teacher – Judas was chosen as one of the twelve.
• Fellowship & Ministry – Judas worked alongside Jesus and the other disciples.
• Trust & Betrayal – Jesus entrusted him with responsibilities, yet Judas betrayed Him.
• Prophecy & Fulfillment – Judas’ role was predicted in Scripture.
• Love & Tragedy – Jesus loved Judas, but Judas chose greed and Satan’s influence over loyalty.

Practical Reflection:

The relationship teaches us that being close to Jesus is not enough — we must stay faithful. Judas had many chances, but his heart went astray.

*I Am With You*

Fear not, [there is nothing to fear], FOR I AM WITH YOU; do not look around in terror and be dismayed, for I AM YOUR GOD. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties. Yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice (Isaiah 41:10, Amp.).

Who is this “I AM"?

Exodus 3:13–14 gives us the answer to this question. The bible says, “Then Moses said to God, ‘Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, "The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they say to me, "What is His name?' what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.” (Exodus 3:13–14).

So I AM is God. I AM is the one who exists. The one in existence. The one who has no beginning or end. The self–existing one. The everlasting one. The true GOD. "I AM" here is "The ALMIGHTY GOD".

What happens when "I AM" is with you? Let us look at the biblical scriptures to answer this question.

Fear not, for I AM WITH YOU; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' (Isaiah 41:10).

1. He strengthens you.
2. He helps you
3. He upholds you with his righteous hand.

Behold, I AM WITH YOU and will keep you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you." (Genesis 28:15).

4. He will keep you wherever you go,
5. He will bring you back to your land
6. He will not leave you until He has done what He has spoken to you.

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' (Isaiah 41:10).

7. When I AM is with you
Fear not.
Don’t be dismayed because I AM is your God.

Fear not, for I AM WITH YOU; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west. (Isaiah 43:5)
8. He brings your descendants from where they were scattered.
9. He gathers you and your scattered life and endeavours.

Do not be afraid of their faces, For I AM WITH YOU to deliver you," says the LORD. ...... They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I AM WITH YOU," Says the LORD, "to deliver you." (Jeremiah 1:8,19)

10. I AM is with you to deliver you. He delivers you from any danger, enemies, attacks, and self–propagated ways that do not glorify Him.

And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; And they will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you; For I AM WITH YOU to save you And deliver you," says the LORD. "I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible." (Jeremiah 15–20–21).

11. I AM fortifies you against the battles you are facing.
12. He saves and delivers you. He delivers you from the hands of the wicked.
13. He redeems you from the grip of the terrible.

For I AM WITH YOU,' says the LORD, "to save you; Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you. But I will correct you in justice, And will not let you go altogether unpunished.' (Jeremiah 30:11).

Do not fear, O Jacob My servant," says the LORD, "For I AM WITH YOU; For I will make a complete end of all the nations To which I have driven you, But I will not make a complete end of you. I will rightly correct you, For I will not leave you wholly unpunished." (Jeremiah 46:28).

14. I AM destroys your oppressors.
15. He saves you and corrects you with justice. After saving you from destruction by the enemy, He punishes you for your mistakes and sins.

Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid; do not be afraid of him,' says the LORD, "for I AM WITH YOU, to save you and deliver you from his hand. And I will show you mercy, that he may have mercy on you and cause you to return to your own land.' (Jeremiah 42:11–12).

16. I AM shows you mercy. When I AM shows you mercy, your enemies will also show you mercy. Then, they will restore you to your original state.

Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,' says the LORD; "and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,' says the LORD, "and work; for I AM WITH YOU,' says the LORD of hosts. (Haggai 2:4).

17. I AM when He is with you, encourages you.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I AM WITH YOU always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:19–20).

18. I AM is with you always. He never leaves you nor forsakes you. Thus, He helps you accomplish His assignment and will in your life.

Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I AM WITH YOU, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city." (Acts 18:9 -10).

19. I AM encourages you during attacks and battles in your God-given assignment.
20. He protects you.

Then Haggai, the LORD's messenger, spoke the LORD's message to the people, saying, "I am with you, says the LORD." (Haggai 1:13).

21. I AM always confirms to you that He is with you.

So when I AM is with you, you are safe. Nothing will touch you. When I AM is with you, fear not or do not be dismayed.

Know that, "the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed" (Deuteronomy 31:8).

And also keep this in mind that the Lord, "Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"" (Hebrews 13:5–6).

Because I AM is with you, fear not nor be dismayed. Know that you are more than a conqueror through "I AM" who loved you. (Romans 8:37; John 8:58).
