synopsis;

Each chapter in this nonlinear tale coincides with a move in an overall chess game; a chess game that culminates similar to the story being told. This fictional story based on true events is a retelling of moments by an astute prodigy who grows up to become a celebrity exotic dancer. She goes by the nickname Queenie and works at a popular high stakes night club. The neighborhood wants the once thriving club closed due to an increase of 911 calls in recent months. With retirement looming, she has to enact that hopefully get her that final payday Cheque off her mates but it has to be done The Queensway!

Originally from Halifax, Dave Burke moved to Toronto in 2013 and can be seen headlining Yuk Yuk's comedy clubs across Canada. He's performed at the Boston Comedy Festival, and has written and performed for Your Hood's a Joke at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. He's appeared at the National Arts Center and the CAA Theatre. You've heard him on SiriusXM Radio. He's performed warm-up for TV and theatre, and performs stand-up for corporate events around Canada.
