Greetings, Grimoire lovers!

It is I, the ever-present and skullacious Daniel Grimoire-Club, here to once again introduce an episode of our very own Grimoire Club.

I would like to give a special “shout-ed” “out” to all the new members who have joined us in the last month. Thank you for supporting one of the few remaining forces for pure, malevolent evil in these trying times.

On this month’s episode, Jacob takes us through two non-narrative short films by the legendary Scottish-Canadian animator and director: Norman McLaren. If you wish to watch them yourself (and you should), here are links: Begone Dull Care and Pas de Deux.
Will the boys learn from the purely visual storytelling in these two projects or will they be driven mad by the lack of the written word? I know which outcome I’m rooting for!

Hello Grimoire-lovers!

Greetings and salutations on this most Halloweenie of months. The boys and I are, as always, trapped beneath the desert in my ancient library.

And we recently uncovered the DVD section in the back!

Oh what a joy, we were able to watch my favourite films: Erin Brockovich and Chicago. I love a crowd-pleaser!

Then, Anthony suggested we watch something called Over the Garden Wall. Once I finished torturing him for having the insolence to suggest something, I decided why not try it out?

And let me tell you, I’m glad I did. It’s a wonderful, charming piece of televisional artistry. But enough from me, let’s hear what the boys thought!

Oh, and I DO hope you’re enjoying the 31 episodes in 31 days.
