"Safe Ground", Katie Tupper’s latest single, is a self-described platonic love song.
A nod to her coming of age in Saskatoon, this track is one of the few roots of 'Greyhound'. It's about home - endless sky and golden fields - but manages not to be rooted in place.
"I wrote [this song] to my best friend about how lucky I feel to know her,” says Tupper. “It is my promise to her to always be a safe spot for her to land."
As for Katie Tupper’s debut album, the wait is nearly over.
'Greyhound' is out January 21. Mark your calendars, pre-save the album, and listen to Safe Ground.
