What the video doesn’t show: the hike was my girlfriend’s find. My sister blamed me anyway. There’s a lesson in there somewhere about being the brother.

She texted me two weeks later about something bigger than the box score but that’s for the next video.

Filmed on the FX2 the day before her first professional game preseason, HV71, SDHL. She has not agreed to a pregame hike since.

The game is Black Ops 2 re-released on PlayStation this summer, fourteen years after I first pressed that button and the timing is unreal: the Modern Warfare 4 open beta drops Friday, so millions of players are about to sit at level one at the same time as me, grinding back to level five to unlock their setup.

The proof I never pressed it is still on this page scroll down far enough and you’ll find the old videos, some with over a million views. I never deleted them. That was the top of the last version.

In the game you keep one permanent unlock when you reset. Mine was the standard: show up every day, no matter the level.

Chris Bumstead liked eight of my posts in 2021. One of them was a trailer for a YouTube channel that never uploaded a single video.

I’ve been a bodybuilding content creator on this account since before Cbum had his third Mr. Olympia title. Millions of views on fitness montages with borrowed audio, and then five years of silence on the same page. This is the first time I’ve talked about why I quit social media at the top, and why the comeback has been slower and better than the run that got noticed.

One year with her, so this felt like the right day to post it. There’s a second fountain at the Trevi Fountain in Rome with no sign, no crowd, easy to miss unless you know the legend of the lovers’ fountain. Most hidden gems in Rome are a 40-minute walk away. This one is two feet from the most famous fountain in Italy, and almost nobody turns around.

Save this for your Rome itinerary it costs nothing and takes two minutes.

The boss hasn’t painted in 8 years. Too vulgar for her own walls, she says. So for 30 years she’s handed those walls to young local artists with one instruction: make something that adds to this space.

We found her cafe by accident in Cluj-Napoca’s old town square. No reservation, no plan the best conversation of the entire trip, and it started because we stared at a sign too long.

Save this for your Romania trip: skip the itinerary for one afternoon and follow whatever confuses you.

First week hanging board, my hands were wrecked, my back was worse, and a guy twenty years in told me I’d either quit by Friday or never leave the trades. He was half right. Eight years in construction estimating later, the skill that started on a drywall crew paid for the camera this was shot on and the trip. Toronto trades kid, one yes, still compounding.

My sister’s first professional women’s hockey game in Sweden. Undrafted out of Canadian university hockey, signed with HV71 in the SDHL, and moved across the world in three weeks. Filmed her last game in March now I’m filming her first shift as a pro.

Two structures on one arm. The tattoo artist charged extra for the architectural detail on the arches worth every dollar standing here. Rome travel tip: arrive before 8am or the light and the crowds both turn on you.

The artist who did this piece spent more time researching Colosseum arches than I spent planning the first year of this channel. That imbalance is the whole lesson. Festina lente shows up on Roman coins as a crab holding a butterfly speed held by patience. Augustus put it on currency so nobody in the empire could forget it. I put it on skin for the same reason.

He had nothing to gain. No commission, no kickback, no reason to care whether two Canadians ate well in his city. He took four minutes out of his shift anyway.

That list is now the most valuable thing we’re bringing home from Italy more than anything we could have bought in that store. Twelve authentic Rome restaurants, zero tourist traps, written by someone who eats there on his days off.

The lesson for anyone planning a trip to Rome: skip the top-10 articles. Walk into any store, ask the person working there where THEY eat, and watch what happens. Authentic Italian food at local prices is everywhere it’s just never where the crowds are.
