WHY QUEEN MAY IS TRULY SPECIAL
The story of Queen May and Judy Austin reminds me of the two mothers before King Solomon. One claimed, "The living child is mine, and the dead child is hers," while the other echoed the same. King Solomon understood that the true mother of the living child would never want to see the child harmed, whereas the mother of the dead child would not care if the living child was killed. To reveal the truth, he proposed to cut the living and the dead child in half, offering a portion to each woman. The real mother immediately agreed to give up her claim to save her child’s life, while the other mother insisted on the child being split.
The lesson is clear: when you love something, you protect it; you never want anything bad to happen to what you cherish.
From the moment we met Queen May, she has always sought to protect the Edochie name. We tried to convince her that Pete Edochie must have encouraged Yul by not opposing his marriage to Judy. Yet, she consistently refused to criticize Pete Edochie. Each time we pointed fingers at the Edochie family, she would say, “No, no! I don’t want anything negative said about the Edochie family. Edochie is my children’s family name, and I want to keep it untarnished.” Clearly, May cares deeply for the Edochie name and is determined to protect it.
In contrast, Judy seems indifferent to the name. She’s willing to drag it through the mud, showing no vested interest in preserving its dignity. Similarly, Yinka, even before marrying into the Edochie family, has played a part in the destruction of the name. Unlike May, who wishes to shield the family from harm, Yinka and Judy appear intent on causing damage to the name.
It saddens me to see people threatening to share Pete Edochie’s and his wife’s phone numbers online, inviting ridicule on social media. This situation is truly tragic for a great man like Pete Edochie to face, especially in his later years. For two years, May has fought to protect their name, suffering and enduring quietly to avoid exposing them to public disgrace. Yet, in an instant, Yinka has dragged that name into the gutters.
When you compare Judy and Yinka to May, they don’t measure up. May is a woman of class and elegance, while these two women appear to lack substance. This serves as a reminder of the importance of character. I hope it’s not too late for the Edochies to reclaim their dignity. Avoid whomever tarnishes your family name and reputation. Choose women of integrity and dignity. Avoid the charlatans and gold diggers.
