The beloved children's television program The Friendly Giant enchanted generations of Canadian and American children. Bob Homme originated the show in Wisconsin and it was enjoyed on the NET network (later called PBS) and CBC. He brought the program to Canada at the invitation of Dr. Fred Rainsberry of CBC.
