We’re always inspired by the games that shaped us as developers. One of our talented game developers, Dor, drew inspiration from Arma 3 by Bohemia Interactive, specifically its zoom functionality, which enhances immersion and tactical gameplay.

We’re excited to share that Dor recently implemented the first version of a similar zoom mechanic in a project for one of our clients. This feature allows players to fine-tune the zoom level using the mouse wheel, offering more flexibility and control during gameplay.

Efrain loves the social side of games, enjoying both video and board games. He participated in a board game jam, creating a superhero game that won second place! 🏆

Meet Efrain, a skilled game developer with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering.

Efrain has made significant contributions to the VR world, including developing a VR simulator for Mercedes-Benz México and Freightliner México. This project allowed players to create a track in a sandbox and race against each other while driving showcase trucks. It was showcased at Expo Transporte 2019 in Puebla, Mexico.

Efrain’s passion for games extends beyond the digital realm. He loves the social aspect of gaming and enjoys board games as well. He even participated in a board game jam with friends, creating a superhero game that earned second place in the competition—a rewarding challenge completed in just two days!

Meet Kaden, a talented game developer and a proud graduate of Full Sail University with a Bachelor's in Game Design.

Kaden has extensive experience working with Unreal Engine and languages like C # and C++. His impressive portfolio includes tile-based games like Tournamental, 3rd person games such as Adventure, a 1st person game called Forest Cliff Base, a top-down game called Cull De Sac, and his final project, Precursor's Legacy.

Kaden is always expanding his skills, currently diving into a self-project in C++. Before joining the game development world, he served in the United States Marine Corps as a Radio Operator, ensuring seamless communication networks during his tour of duty in the Mediterranean Sea.

We are thrilled to have Kaden on our team, bringing his diverse expertise and passion for game development to Astro Games Studio! 🚀

We’ve had an exciting summer so far, and we want to share a few moments from our team’s adventures:

📸 Mauricio: Traveled to Panama for his cousin’s quinceañera and visited the beautiful Panama Canal.

📸 Fernanda: Spent a weekend in the swamps of Boucherville, Quebec, trying to keep her shoes dry.

📸 Idan: Started a podcast with friends to share funny stories. It’s been a fantastic excuse for them all to meet up!

📸 Dor: Became a proud father to a baby boy named Mordechai!

📸 Jerry: Restarted his Japanese learning journey with “Midnight Dinner,” a series sharing stories about ordinary people. It’s a must-watch!

📸 Michael: Took a break from school to visit New Orleans. The food was to die for, and he toured a tomb graveyard where Nicolas Cage has a giant white pyramid tomb prepared.

Meet Idan, our talented DevOps Engineer. With a diploma in software engineering and currently studying computer science in Rishon LeZion, Idan’s passion for technology began early—he took apart and reassembled a computer at just 10 years old! He has experience working for a large organization, where he maintained and developed live streams.

Idan is an avid follower of Linus Tech Tips and Marques Brownlee, and his favourite game to play is CounterStrike. His love for technology and gaming fuels his dedication to facilitating the environment that supports the game developers on our team to do what they do best - make games!
