Your ego won't like this.
When I opened my app and saw this today, I thought: Wow, that’s pretty cool. I made a thing.
Your ego will whisper: You’re no icon — what’s the point?
If I had listened to that voice, I wouldn’t be helping people today.
I wouldn’t be sharing my voice.
I’d still be listening to Mel thinking, I wish I’d started sooner. I wish I’d taken myself more seriously. I wish I could be like her.
And my ego would hold me close, saying:
It’s better that you didn’t.
Take 5 minutes today — even 30 seconds — for one small step toward whatever you want to put into the world.
Your ego will hate it.
