Officially one year since I left rehab 🙌🏾

Last year, after my spine injury and surgery I went to Lyndhurst Spinal Rehab Centre from October 3 to December 15, 2024. 🏥

I spent Thanksgiving & Halloween there. I had family and friends visit me there. I broke down and built back up there. 🙃

The Lyndhurst team was INCREDIBLE and truly, without them, I wouldn’t have been able to cope. 🫶🏾

My doctors and nurses cared for me and all my personal needs every single day. 🩺

My OT prepared me for being a wheelchair user, while my PT trained me to strengthen my body so I could relearn to walk again. 🦵🏾

My social worker always checked in on me and made sure I was mentally okay. 🧠

My recreational therapists kept things fun with all the different group games and activities. 🖌️

Lyndhurst made a way for my injury to not be so scary. Plus they got me home just in time for Christmas! 🎄

To Lyndhurst and all the staff within it: THANK YOU!!! 🥹

Zootopia is more accessible than our world?!?! 🫨

I love Zootopia, it’s one of my favourite animated films of all time! And with Zootopia 2 coming out, I had to bring up something I’ve noticed every single time I rewatch it. 🐰 🦊

Zootopia is designed for EVERY BODY, whether big or small or anywhere in between. From inclusive transit to different-sized neighbourhoods, Zootopia said “access for all” and meant it! ♿️

Maybe our world could learn a thing or two about accessibility from Zootopia? 🌎

Little People on Screen! 💚

I love seeing people with Dwarfism on TV and in movies. These actors, along with many others, represent people with differences on screen and are paving the way for the next generation. 🎭

While there are some incredible Little People actors currently in the industry, we still need more. I especially think we need more young actors and actors of colour! (*cough* like me *cough*) 👩🏾‍🦱

Happy Dwarfism Awareness & Acceptance Day! 💚

I am a Little Person, which means I have Dwarfism. It is a condition that makes me shorter than everyone else. I am 26 years old and 3 foot 11 inches tall. I am the only Little Person in my family, the only one in my area, and was the only one in each stage of school. 🧍🏾‍♀️

Every October 25th, we take the time to raise awareness and show acceptance for all people with Dwarfism. In a world not built for us, today is a day to wear green and show your support! ✅ 🌱 🧩 🪀

I love being a Little Person, seeing life from a different perspective than most and being part of an amazing community. Each day is a new adventure and getting to share my story with others has been such a blessing! 📖

With one more week of Dwarfism Awareness Month left, I just want to thank everyone who’s been following and enjoying my series so far! 😊

Whether we’ve met before, or you have absolutely no idea who I am, it’s nice to meet ya. 😉

I’m a little person content creator based just outside of Toronto, Canada, sharing my daily adventures through lifestyle and vlog content. Right now, I’m on a recovery journey from a spinal cord injury that I sustained in September 2024. My goals are to increase Dwarfism representation in mainstream media, while advocating for accessibility for all!💚

Hi, you’re probably wondering where I’ve been for the last 2 months…

On September 1, I started experiencing sharp leg pains, which I thought was just sciatica.

On September 7, I lost the use of my legs.

On September 10, I was diagnosed with a spinal cord injury and rushed to St. Michael’s Hospital for emergency spinal surgery.

It’s now been 2 months since surgery, and I’m currently recovering in a rehab facility, making slow but steady progress each day.

The plan is to have me home by Christmas, but to do that, my family and I need some help. We’ve set up a GoFundMe to raise funds for my new accessibility needs and necessary renovations to my home.
