For the past 20 years Vespa Studios has been home to numerous gold and multi platinum selling recordings around the world. Vespa is located just 20 minutes north of downtown Toronto and just 10 minutes from Toronto's Pearson International airport.

Today we close our chapter at .studios.
From it’s early days as a studio in the 70s and 80s, to the Arnyard owned by Arnold Lanni where Our Lady Peace cut their first two records until Harry bought it in 1998, to now in 2021 when it begins it’s new journey.
Thank you to all the bands that we’ve had the opportunity to share this space with, we learned so much every time we walked into this room with one of you.

One of our favourite mics, the Neumann M 149. With 9 selectable polar patterns they make for an incredibly versatile microphone with a multitude of characteristics. Especially when used as a pair these mics seem to be made for our room.

Before Vespa was purchased by Harry Hess around 1998, it existed as Arnyard Studios, owned and operated by Arnold Lanni. It was here that he produced and recorded the albums ‘Naveed’ (1995) and ‘Clumsy’ (1997). ‘Naveed’ hit platinum in Canada and ‘Clumsy’ went diamond in Canada and platinum in the US.
