Yesterday, we promised to spotlight one more fan, and we meant it!

We asked our Queens to share their journey or bio in the comments, and Adedokun Opeyemi’s story caught our attention, not just because of her powerful journey, but because she’s also a top fan who consistently shows up for this community.

Her story is a beautiful reminder that purpose can rise from pain.

Opeyemi is the visionary behind Health O'clock Family, a growing wellness platform inspired by personal loss and built to empower others. Named after her late mother (Ashabi) and brother (Dayo), her mission is rooted in love, legacy, and the power of health education.

After a federal job transfer disrupted her life, long commutes and exhaustion became her norm. But a single video she posted sparked unexpected encouragement from a doctor friend. That one moment led to something bigger—and Health O’clock Family was born.

In her words:

"A life-changing experience led me to create Health O'clock Family. Through consistency and perseverance, we've grown into a community prioritizing well-being. Our mantra? It's always Health O'clock!" – Opeyemi Adedokun

We are proud to shine the spotlight on Opeyemi, a woman turning her pain into purpose, and creating impact through storytelling, consistency, and service.

Who says you have to choose between science and sports?

Michelle Alozie is living proof that women can do both and do them exceptionally well.
By day, she’s a molecular biologist working in pediatric cancer research. By passion, she’s a Super Falcons forward making history on the pitch.

Recently, she helped Nigeria clinch their 10th WAFCON title, just days after scoring a stunning 94th-minute winner in the semifinals. Talk about brilliance on and off the field!

Michelle represents what it means to be a modern African woman, bold, brilliant, and beautifully multidimensional.

Her story is a reminder that our talents don’t have to fit into one box.

Which of your passions have you been hiding because you thought you had to choose?
Let Michelle's story inspire you to embrace all sides of who you are.

Tag a woman who’s excelling in more than one field, we just might spotlight her next!

✨ Your story deserves the spotlight! ✨

Last week, we asked some of our amazing women what platform they would love to be spotlighted on this year.

One of the first commenters on that post mentioned Women of Rubies and we decided to make her dream come true!

We reached out and asked her to share her bio, and today, we are proud to spotlight Damilola Alabi:

"My name is Damilola Alabi. I am a multi-talented professional with a diverse background in technology, caregiving, finance, and fashion design. I am currently training as a Salesforce Administrator with Supermums, UK, and building my IT Support skills through Digital Witch Academy. I also work as a Care Assistant in Scotland, where I provide compassionate, personalized care to residents.

Previously, I worked as a Credit Officer at Greener Pastures Global Ventures in Nigeria, helping clients make sound financial decisions and supporting business growth. I am also the founder and designer at Masterpiece Clothings, where I create fashion pieces that help people feel confident and express their style.

In my free time, I love to design, dress up and show up, and bring people together through event planning and organizing. I am passionate about learning, creativity, and inspiring other women to pursue their dreams fearlessly."

👏🏽 Damilola Alabi 's journey is a reminder that visibility matters because when you share your story, it can open doors, inspire others, and create incredible opportunities.

That’s why we’re inviting YOU to our upcoming Zoom session on how to turn your story into spotlight opportunities!

Whether it’s a panel, a workshop, or a coffee catch-up—the right room can open doors. But you hold the key. Show up with purpose. Speak with clarity. Connect with heart.

What if the real power move was lifting someone else up?

As Edwina Dunn reminds us, "We don’t lose a single thing by speaking up for another girl or woman." In fact, we gain community, strength, and impact.

True empowerment happens when we choose collaboration over competition and sisterhood over silence.

👑 Ways to lift other women today:
– Celebrate her wins publicly
– Recommend her for opportunities
– Stand up for her when it counts
– Listen without judgment
– Be her voice when hers is shaking

Let’s build the kind of world we all want to thrive intogether.

Read this before you give up too soon.

As you step into a new week, remember: consistency doesn’t always look exciting but it’s powerful.

It often feels slow, repetitive, and unseen. No applause. No spotlight. Just you showing up again and again. But that’s exactly where the transformation begins. Every small action, every quiet “yes” to keep going is building a future you’ll be proud of.

Consistency is what separates wishful thinking from real progress. It's not about feeling motivated, it's about keeping the promise you made to yourself, even when no one’s watching.

📌 This week, don’t chase perfection. Just stay the course. Your future self is already cheering you on.
