Why do Sikh soldiers matter so deeply to the Western world?
For many in today’s Sikh generation — especially those growing up in Canada, the UK, the USA, and other Western countries — the connection to their ancestors’ bravery in World War I and World War II has faded with time.
This video reconnects that broken link.
Through the eyes of a young Sikh child and her father, we explore the forgotten role of Sikh soldiers who fought on the very lands we live on today — from the muddy trenches of Flanders and Gallipoli to the fields of France, Italy, and beyond.
⭐ Did you know?
• Sikhs made up just 2% of India’s population… but over 20% of the British Indian Army.
• More than 130,000 Sikh soldiers fought in WW1.
• Their courage is etched into memorials across the UK, Canada, and Europe.
• Their sacrifices shaped the freedom and safety enjoyed by millions today.
Yet their stories remain missing from most history books.
This video is a heartfelt journey into:
✔️ The Sikh martial spirit and the Khalsa ethos
✔️ The courage of Sikh soldiers in WW1 and WW2
✔️ Their contributions to the UK, Canada, and the United States
✔️ The experiences of modern Sikh families trying to reconnect with their past
✔️ Why remembering Sikh heroes matters MORE today than ever before
This is more than history.
It is identity.
It is legacy.
It is a reminder to the new generation:
We live in the West today because our forefathers stood for justice, truth, and humanity.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
