Letâs talk about drugs ⊠đ
The good kind.
Weâve advanced so much medically. So much research has been done & so many lives saved because of health care.
Is healthcare always good?
No. Some places are under staffed, underpaid. Some countries donât have enough health care resources.
Some healthcare professionals have failed people that have trusted them with their lives. As sad as it is, there are bad apples in every field( which shouldnât be the case in the medical system) .
What I can say is doctors saved my life& my kids lives, countless times.
From medications to emergency c sections, if we didnât have these, we wouldnât have made it.
What I can also say is since being on my mental health medication, Iâve gotten a lot of backlash and negativity and lack of support.
Iâve got people who arenât even professionals telling me I should try to ânaturallyâ manage my bipolar disorder, BPD, anxiety, depression and PTSD (all things I was diagnosed for).
As much as I love natural ways, it doesnât always work.
What people donât know is Iâve tried natural stuff and with a chemical imbalance, there really isnât anything natural that is effective.
Maybe one day theyâll be but as of now- I take two different medications each day and a total of 4 pills.
Long story short, donât make assumptions about what somebody else is going through, and if youâre not a medical professional, donât go around giving advice you have no knowledge about.
You never know if somebodyâs situation and you actually never know what someoneâs going through until youâve been through it.
So next time you hear that somebodyâs on medication, please keep your two cents to yourself because you donât even know a quarter of the situation.
Like I said,
Doctors have saved my life and my childrenâs lives and I am forever gratefulđ«¶đ»đ„č
