It is so easy to say "not right now" when we are busy or tired. But to them, we are their whole world.

Those little nudges and whines aren't meant to annoy us; they are literally just asking to share a moment with their favorite person. I’m trying to be better at putting my phone or my work down and just being present with Mazy. Because one day, we would give absolutely anything for just one more moment of them begging for our attention.

We always hear that time flies, but nothing makes you realize it quite like watching a dog grow up. One day they are so tiny they fit in your hands, and the next, they are taking up the entire couch.

I look at Mazy now and realize how quickly those early days passed. We spend so much time stressing over doing everything perfectly, when all they really want is our presence.
