Family Doctor Shortage: A 2026 survey found a 25% increase in difficulty accessing a family doctor since 2015.
Wait Times: Canada now ranks last or near last among peer OECD countries for timely access to medical services, including same-day appointments and specialist visits.
3. Economic Productivity and Wealth
Stagnant GDP per Capita: Since 2015, Canadian real GDP per capita—a measure of individual prosperity—has remained almost completely stagnant.
