You might have heard that putting your wet iPhone in a bag of rice can help it dry faster and prevent damage. But guess what? Apple says this is a bad idea. ❌
According to Apple, rice can actually harm your iPhone by leaving small particles inside the device, especially in the charging port. These particles can interfere with the connection and cause more problems. 😬
So what should you do if your iPhone gets wet? Apple recommends tapping it gently to remove any excess liquid, with the connector facing down. Then, leave it in a dry area with some airflow for at least 30 minutes. If you see a liquid alert on your screen, wait up to 24 hours before trying to charge it again. 🔋
So remember, don’t put your iPhone in a bag of rice. It’s not worth the risk. 🍚
